Does any one have the email address for the San Pedrano? I've never stayed there but it looks OK and I'd like to get in touch with them. Thanks and Happy Traveling! Dave
10 or so years ago we took a tour of the above by river. WE were picked up by a driver at the water taxi stand (staying at Caye Caulker) then taken to a bridge where we rode a boat to the ruins and then back in reverse. I am looking for a tour group that does this now.
Should I fly or take the 3 hour boat from Belize city to ambergris...please give your reasons why...
Hello - headed to Ambergris Ca in a couple of weeks with 10 other family members.
We are clear on using bottled water for everything. Curious about the fruit and veggies there. Do you suggest cooking everything or will we be safe with raw fruit and veggies.
Also where can we buy good seafood for cooking dinner at the resort?
Thanks so much - Virginia
Are there mopeds to rent?
If you can only choose one, which one would be and why? I have only one day to go...
I will be spending the month of October on Ambergris.
I am bringing my cat with me.
If I want to spend 4 to 5 days on the mainland are there kennels or (preferably pet sitters that are trustworthy
Is it possible to find a pet sitter or kennel for a cat on Ambergris
Is it better to leave a forwarding address with the Post Office or rely on relatives to screen my mail for anything important?
I'm thinking about moving to Belize in a month, and would like to know of any suggestions on a cheap, clean, safe city on the beach.
This is my first time to visit Belize, not sure what to expect if I decide to visit from Oct 8 - Oct 15th. I enjoy water acitivities and would love to visit mayan sites and do some hikings when weather permits, with that being said, my main concern is the likelyhood of being able to do all these outdoor activities in mid October. I've heard anytime is a good time to visit Belize but the hurricane season could rain a lot and ruin the experience. Any suggestions and/or past experiences are appreciated.
I am going on a cruise Sept 7th leaving from Miami Florida and going to Belize City and would like to know for certain I do not need a passport to get off the ship. Thanks.
Hey guys...I am trying to organize my trip through Belize, coming from Mexico and turning to Guatemala.
A friend said about Belize: it´s all about Caye Caulker and Shark Ray Alley....so, regarding the prices of accoms in CC would you recommend that 5 days are enough to snorkle and dive around CC? I could spend up to 2 weeks (more or less) in Belize and I guess there is plenty to see.
Happy for any advice. Thx
I intend to rely on using my bank card for purchases and expenses while in Belize and the Dominican Republic. I already know that I need to tell my bank my travel plans. What is the recommended amount of pocket money to carry? And is it better in some instances to use travelers checks? I will be in both countries for a total of three months.
How safe is it for a 65 year old gentleman? I will be enjoying myself there for two months next year and my landlord assures me that it will be safe with normal prudence. I want to know more.
Any advise on who to hire for fishing? Will be there July 23-27th. Also good place to snorkel and any do not miss attractions. Appreciate any and all suggestions.
We are looking to bring hard salami, beef jerky, some snacks like popcorn, jars of dip, etc. How about a bottle or 2 of alcohol? Is there any issue with this? Will customs give us a bad time?

Arriving on cruise ship on Jan. 29th. What would be the cost of a taxi from cruise port to Municipal airport??
My wife and I have been going down to Caye Caulker and love it, BUT the sand flies eat us up. Does anyone have a good repellent.
Hi folks---we are in the planning stages for our trip to Belize this coming May or June---we have a house rental in LadyVille with use of a car---been reading about crime and such in the area, and I think we will be OK in this neighborhood----we have 3 day trips we want to do, and wondering if we can really do a day trip to Tikal from there? Also any restaurants in Ladyville worth checking out? Thanx in advance!
I was in Belize City once before, a few years ago and remember a lot of little shops outside the 'tourist' area. My wife makes jewelry and I was wondering if anyone knows of a place there where they sell beads. She uses a lot of different kinds of jasper....
We want to go to Belize either October or November, wanting to start by flying into Belize International Airport, then we want to go to Placencia for 3 nights, and then to the mountains (Five Sisters Lodge) for 3-4 nights, then back to the airport for our flight home. We may just veg at the beach not really needing a car, and the Lodge has tours with transportation included. What are our options with approximate costs for getting from the airport to Placencia, then to Five Sisters, and then back to the airport?
I did look up Tropic Air from Belize City to Placencia at89 per person, sounds pretty good.....
Specifically is Caracol worth a trip from the Lodge?
Thanx in advance.....
We are planning our trip to this great country. My wife and myself, if possible due to the best part of the year for us (Willing to rescheduale) & our thought of the tours we are thinking of experienceing. We would love to be at an "All-Inclusive Resort" for 10-14 days, if possible, in November. We are also greatly interested in touring The Maya Sites and leaning of thier Great Heritage. We would greatly like to see and maybe spend a 2 day outting to see Xunan Tunich & Tikal, the largest known Mayan city. These 2 are a must for us. We would like to know the right places to stay and what it will take, if possible, the 2 day outting from the resort. Can the bookings of the tours be done through the resort, or, only available to be booked away from the resort. Please help. The two of us are greatly interested in a November trip, but need to know if it better to be done at a different time of the year. Any suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated
