      Belize City to Flores

Belize City Dec 16, 2014 at 3:15 AM

Hi Everyone, Please could you help. My husband and I are looking for the best way (apart from flying) to get from Belize City to Flores by bus. I am interested to hear about your experiences and any advice you can offer. Is there a best option of the buses. I have been reading about the Linea Dorada and think this may be a good option for us. I look forward to your responses. Regards

      New Year's 2015

Caye Caulker Dec 16, 2014 at 2:51 AM

      Hi all,

My husband and I will be spending our New Year's in Belize's Caye Caulker and was wondering what New Year's Eve/Day is like there. Would there be many events to attend on the night also can anyone recommend a good restaurant for dinner? Is it best to perhaps book as I imagine it can be quite busy...

Any suggestions/recommendations will be most helpful.

      Thanks in advance.

    • Safety Concern

Caye Caulker Dec 1, 2014 at 12:26 PM

We have been thinking about going to Caye Faulker but after reading such scary reviews of things that happen there we are really concerned if we will be safe there. We are four ladies age 62. Should we stay away and go somewhere else? We really wanted to experience everyday carebbean life and not stay at some fancy all inclusive place
      Thank you for any help

Is there an active blog or newsletter for people currently living in Corozal? We are interested in knowing what daily life is like in this community:
what sorts of long-term rentals are available?
how well do the expats and locals get along?

    • two week itinerary

      Belize Jul 27, 2014 at 10:12 AM

I am planning a trip for a timeframe within March to May 2015. I'm thinking of two weeks, 1 week on land and 1 week to charter a catamaran and play on the water. I've not been to Belize or the area, so the first question would be, would you recommend water or land first? Second question is about if you had two weeks and middle of road budget, any recommendations on itinerary, places to stay on land and guides to see the various sights on land? Thank you! Randy

      Belize Jun 25, 2014 at 3:34 PM

      Kia Ora,

Can you tell me what Belizean 13 year olds are into? Music/Books/Activities/Fashion/Language/Idols/

What does a typical bedroom/house look like?

Are most poverty stricken or they middle class?

What do they do everyday? School then? or do they even go to school? Do they labor?

This information will be really helpful and the truth will win me over.

      Warm regards,

      Jasmine Douglas

My husband and I are looking for an affordable bus/coach from the airport to Placencia. Are there any tour buses that go that direction? We priced the cost of a van and it was $400 one way (we could fly roundtrip for that on Maya Air). Any suggestions?

    • Travel from Playa Del Carmen to Belize

      Belize Apr 29, 2014 at 4:17 AM

My girlfriend and I are planning on a trip to Playa Del Carmen this summer. We are going to stay for one month, so we are probably going to make a trip to Belize. I've understood that the easiest way is to take the bus to Chetumal, and then a taxi over the border. What does this cost? And is it expensive to stay there? I think we want to stay for 2 or 3 nights

    • Touring Belize

      Belize Mar 31, 2014 at 7:05 AM

Wife and I will be in Belize 2nd week in August. Not really vacation, rather looking for potential sites to have a 2nd home. Interested in Caye Caulker, Palencia area, Stann Creek, possibly Ambergris Caye. Plan on ocean and reef access, view and will have a boat. What is the best way to travel (renting a car, plane/taxi) and in those areas what are good places to stay (comfortable, safe with A/C)? Not looking to rough it, but don't need San Francisco prices either.
