Handmade flat shoes

I visited Belize aprroximately 19 years ago. I purchased a pair of hand made flat shoes in the market. They were similar to a ballet slipper type of shoe with multi-colored yarns threaded/weaved on the shoe. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase another paair?
