Moving to Northern Ireland in a few months....would like some input

I am considering graduate school in the UK, but as of right now, I have recently accepted a job outside of Belfast in the Markethill area. I was wondering if anyone could offer any helpful information about the area. Thanks!

Markethill is just over an hour from Belfast in County Armagh. It is an old predominantly protestant village of Scottish heritage. It has a competition annually for the "Lambeg Drummers" which draws quite a crowd of spectators. I have passed through it and visited it on a number of occasions when visiting my family in Portadown/Craigavon. A car will be helpful but you can take the bus into Belfast.
