My wife and I are boarding a cruise ship in Tianjin in May. We will be spending a few days in Beijing prior to departure. Can someone advise please......can I purchase liquor (Scotch Whisky) in a "normal" supermarket in Beijing, or should I be looking for a "specialist type liquor store"? Thanks......\\\
Why not just purchase it at Duty Free when you arrive in China? They generally have quite a good selection of Scotch Whisky's in those shops.

You should be able to buy it at lots of places but I would go for the larger supermarkets -particularly foreign ones like Carrefours or Jusco. That way you definitely won't get counterfeit liquor (which is always a chance in small shops).
