Will be in Beijing the week of Chinese New Years. Feb 3 till 8th or 9th. Staying around Wangfujing, right downtown. Anything cool happening for the New Years celebration? Where to go for fireworks/festivities?

You can see temple fair on New Year Day: japanese.10thnpc.org.cn/engl... But be warned, it's extremely crowded.

there used to be a very big pageant in baiyunguan,but this year it has been canceled cause lots palce are building architectures for olympics. this is the first time i am beijing at the end of the newyear,but i have to to back home for the spring festival.or i could find some information for you. have a good time in beijing. i like to be your guide next time.hahaha, on one condition you can endure my poor english.
