What's the best/cheapest way to get to the port from Beijing and how long does it take? Also, is Xingang the same as Tianjin? thank you
No, Xingang doesn't equal to Tianjin. If you take train to Tianjin, you are still far away from Xingang yet. Xinggang which also called Tianjin seaport, is in Tianjin metropolitan area, but it is still far away from the center of Tianjin city. I used to live in Tianjin city but I have never been to Xingang. As I know, Xingang should be more close to Tanggu, there is only one train per day: T547 Beijing - Taidu departs at 17:05 and arrive Tanggu at 18:49.
