Hello, Austin folks! We are going to be in town over the 4th of July. What's the best bet for fireworks? Also, we'll be staying downtown because our 16-yr-old son is going to a gaming thing at the Convention Center. Do we need a car to see the best that Austin has to offer? We'll be there from the 3rd to the 9th.

Thanks for any info and recommendations!

      Houston Apr 25, 2013 at 9:57 AM

Hi, we are relocating to Houston in the next few months and are looking at areas that have great schools and nice neighborhoods with low crime. Looking heavily at Friendswood or possible Mont Belvieu area. What can you tell me about the towns and schools? Thanks!

    • cheapest airport close to San Francosco

San Antonio May 6, 2013 at 9:46 AM

Planning a flight to San Francisco from San Antonio, possibly in July or August. Can a significant amount of money on airfare be saved by flying into an airport outside of San Francisco & then driving for around (up to) an hour to get to SF?

Any advice what to see & do with 15yrs old

by MacedonianUK Online Now Dec 10, 2009 at 10:58 AM

As it happend we are off to TX, in April. Familly obligations are calling to spend 2 weeks in Beytown near Huston. I am traveling with 15yr old and the people we are visiting are older, so I was wondering how I can entertain my teeneger. We will rent a car, so transport is no problem... Any idea wjat we can do in the neighborhood? I dont mind drivinig, but I prefer to find things to do in the radius of 50miles. I know TX is huge and distance is relative, but do you have any ideas?/ I cheked VT pages on the town & it seems that is an dismal place. Too much odf an industrial subrb. I also cheked www.aaa.com and some other sites, but still need "feel" for the area. Many thanks. MacedonianUK
