can someone recommend a a good basic place to stay that provides transport to support the walking of the Tongariro Crossing.
Travelling December this year and will arrive in Rotorua at 1.00/2.00pm maybe earlier if we need to get there to catch a tour. Departing next day in the morning for the East Cape. Maybe go to Hells Gate in the morning when we leave. What suggestions of things to do in the afternoon and evening? Are there any afternoon tours etc? Also do you know of any accommodation that has undercover parking for motorbikes and air conditioning

hi there, just wana know someone could tell me what to do in auckland airport im stuck there for 12hrs for my next flight to hongkong.
Time factor is important as we have only 7 nights, if we hire car from the Auckland airport and drive to the ferry terminal. Do you know (a) how much is the cost to Russell by ferry and (b) is the Ferry Terminal close from the airport. Are there other important factors we should know? Thanks
Are you able to take push bikes across on the ferry or do you need to use the car ferry.

We will be in Auckland for a couple of days before our cruise. Would we be better to take a commercial tour to the Bay of Islands or to hire a car and drive ourselves?

A gang of us - all schoolmates 20 years ago are planning for a birthday bash with many of us flying in from Australia, New York and some from Asia (like myself) for an overnight Auckland and then on drive to Bay of Islands. I am looking for tips on whereabout to stay, dine and pamper ourselves. Money issue is secondary; we just wanna have a memorable week together.
