Hwo can I get to Siegen?

by KateP27 Online Now Mar 21, 2013 at 1:52 AM

Hello I would like to know if there is a possibility to get to Siegen from Bautzen without switching trains? How long will the trip take? How much is the ticket cost one way?

No, you would have to change trains at least twice.
The trip would take eight or nine hours altogether.
Cost typically 117 Euros if you have to pay the full fare (without a BahnCard)

    DB timetable
    reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/qu...
    Start: Bautzen
    Destination: Siegen

That's crossing a large part of Germany. Both towns are not that important and only served by regional trains. These do in first place feed the main nearby long distance train hubs. Not crossing the whole country.

Price depends when you will travel. You can buy tickets from 92 days before departure on. Cheapest specials are from EUR 29. Standard fare ticket is as already said EUR 117. Such a ticket is always available and flexible.

Another option is to use regional trains. Cheaper - but will increase the travel time even further and push up the changes of trains to 5 and more.

And just in case: no - to do this by bus is not possible/offered at all.
