I would appreciate an indication of the taxi fare to & from the Hauptbahnhof to Schloss Stolzenfels on a Saturday afternoon. Would ther be any difficulty in getting a taxi back to Koblenz?

My husband will be working in Landstuhl this summer, and I will be joining him for part of the time. I return home before him, and therefore have to get myself from Landstuhl to the airport. I am going to take the train, but my flight is in the morning, so my train leaves at 5:15 am. I am a bit nervous about travelling by myself that early in the morning. Will the train be somewhat full early on a weekday? I'd actually feel better if there were more people around than being by myself. Thank you!
do i need to prebook a train from Frankfurt airport to mainz to save money i've been on the DB Bahn site and there are a number of trains which are not available for purchase on line but it states they are 15euros flat rate.
is this rate available if i just buy on the day

Does anyonehave any ideas how often ferry's leave costs etc.
I have had a look at the KD website and it says there are only two ferries at 8.45am & 9.45am is this correct or are there more ferries

Does anyone have advice for traveling from the Army base in Baumholder to Normandy and the vicinity? The train seems confusing, but inviting. We have considered renting a car and drive so we can stop and enjoy the beautiful sights. We are somewhat worried about driving in big cities and not being able to understand the signs. Thanks

I will be traveling to Germany in June to visit my son on the Baumholder Army Base. I would like information about where to stay, making reservations, costs, etc. This is my first trip overseas, so I am a bit lost.
My friend and I will be flying into Frankfurt the end of April. We are wondering the best/easiest way to travel to Baumholder. Is transportation available from the airport to the train station?
My finace is currenty stationed at Smith Barraks, and i am comming to stay with him over the summer. Do you know of soem places that are on post, or near by? Or would I be able to stay with him? Also do you know about temporary jobs that may be avalible, or at leasat who to contact? Thanks! Kristin
My father is visiting an old friend in Baumholder who works on the base. Can you tell me if there is a good map website for Baumholder & surrounding cities..I believe he is coming from Kaiserslautern. THANKS!
I will be going to france, germany and the netherlands in the spring. I want to visit my granddaughter, whose father is stationed in Baumholder. I am having problems finding out whether or not the eurorail goes through baumholder. Anybody know?
