Is the travel agency (tour & bus company) in Phnom Penh reliable?
Hi all.
We need to locate Swedish citizen Sebastian Johansson in cambodia, where he´s been backpacking for the last couple of months. He has problems with depression and we have good reason to be worried about his wellbeing, since a couple of hours ago.
His last known whereabouts were Siankouville (unsure of spelling), a couple of hours busride from Phnom-Penh
We have naturally contacted the Swedish embassy in Phnom-Penh for assistance in the matter, but are hoping to extend our chance of locating him by way of the internet.

I'm planning a trip to Cambodia towards the end of next year. I'm currently debating whether doing it independently with guide for Ankor Wat and other temples or going the easy way & using a tour company for the whole thing.
We are 2 and want that holiday to be a cultural one, so emphasis on the temples in depth (not a one hour tour of the 'essentials') + if time Mekong mini cruise with visits + a few days at the beach at the end somewhere in Cambodia or nearby where I can scuba dive while my companion tans on the beach. So I guess we need either a tour ending by a stay at beach or a 100% cultural tour that ends not far from travel hub so we can then head to beach. Would consider a combined Cambodia/South Vietnam tour as long as it is not rushed.
I've seen tours combining with Bangkok but don't want to waste time going via there.
We'll have b/w 15 and 17 days.

How is the bus condition for Battambang - Phnom Penh? How long does the journey takes and whats the price range? Thanks
HI, I have read that the boat trip from Siem Reap to Battambang is worth doing. Has anyone done this recently? How long does it take? Whats the best way to return to Siem Reap? Can you suggest a place to stay in Battambang? How long should one stay and what can one do there? thanks, priya
Has anybody done the train from BB TO PP. I believe it is a 14 hour marathon on hard seats. I also understand it only runs every other day, how do we find out in advance what days it is running????

Hi, I will be going to Battambang in February, and I want to learn basic Khmer after my arrival so I can speak with the locals at least a little. Who knows of anyone in Battambang who can teach me a little of the Khmer language? Thank you all! Aukje
According to my info two carriers have one flight daily to BBM to PNH. Did someone take that flight? Can't book seats or get info on their fares through e-mail (given on their websites apart from their schedules). (They just don't respond...!) Easy to get seats in high season (January)? Who did book this flight and how? Only possible at their local office in Battambang maybe? Thanks, Utan
