Is there a way for a handicaped person to get to the top of Mont Saint Michel? He walks but cannot climb or go up many steps. Is there an elevatior? Something?
Are there any boat trips from Honfleur or Le Havre which last one day or less. I'm NOT looking for 3-5 days, just a boat tour of the lower Seine / estuary / bay which takes a few hours.

are bus lines available from Caen to MSM?
I know the train doesnt go there directly, is there a bus from Caen that can take me to Mont St Michel or very nearby
I am in Caen for two nights with my two female friends and wonder what's the local pub, bar and club scene like. Does anyone have any good recommendations? My friends love good, old fashioned English pubs and I love global - especially Latin American. What is the dress code in most places like? Are jeans ok?
We will be visiting our daughter in Angers in April 2013. Is there a tour bus that runs from Angers to MSM? Thank you.
May I please know what is the best way to travel from Bayeux to Dinard or St.Malo using public transport? Merci
All the tours Ive seen seem to be based on American sites. Are there any British based tours of the beaches etc.
Hi everyone My husband and I are staying in a cottage in Normandy soon - somewhere near-ish to Tinchebray. Does anyone have any recommendations for must-do/see when we're there? I'm thinking a trip to Bayeaux and Caen are on the list, perhaps take a drive to see Monet's house (I know it's not really close). Any info on Tinchebray or its environs - restaurants, supermarkets, etc - would also be most appreciated. Cheers! Z

Most of the hotels appear to be on the road to MSM and unless the room is in the back, could be noisy. Le Beauvoir looks nice but the street view has it on the road. We will have a car. Any recommendations would be welcome. Merci.
Hi Guys, I'm going to go next Weekend in Normandie for a little tour of 4 days.I will arrive in Paris by plane and then I'll rent a Car for all the period,my first city will be Rouan. My only MUST is Mont-saint-Michel,but I don't know where to go and what trip make, can someone help me..? Thanx
I want to experience MSM with and without the sea water surrounding it. Do I need to base myself on the high tide schedule to pick my day to visit or has the new dam on the Couesnon already (positively) affected the water levels around MSM? I've heard that there are days when you see no difference between low and high tide (i.e., so can experience MSM with little water around it). Hope this post makes sense... and thanks in advance.
We will be staying in Caen in early September, driving through the area, using Caen as our base, as it is rather central. We are looking for a nice hotel there. So far, I have looked at the Ivan Vautier, which looks very nice, but it is located away from the center and are told its a 20 minute walk to get there. We would like to be within a few minutes walk of the center so that we don't need to drive every time we leave our hotel. I also looked at the Adagio, but it is difficult to tell whether it is a full-service hotel, or a self-service apartment. I also looked at a hotel in Cabourg, but their prices were in the 500 Euro per night range. I'd like to hear whatever suggestions anyone can offer who knows this area and hopefully the hotels. Thanks. Carl
My husband and I are staying for a week in Honfleur in August. we plan on hiring a car for around 5 days to see some of Normandy. should we book the car from Australia or would it be ok to wait till be get to Honfleur?
Hoping to do a round-trip with my family in one-day. Does anyone know of tourbus companies that run from Cherbourg to MSM and back in time to catch the return ferry to poole? Thanks much for any info...

Brussels to cities in France (travel) MSM, Giverny, Versailles? Looking for help traveling from Brussels to 3/4 areas of France for a week. I need a city central to three areas of visitation. MSM (Mont saint Michel) Giverny and Versailles or possibly Rouen, France. Any experienced VT travelers who have done this please advise. I can rent a car in France after getting there. Thinking of train from Brussels to that central city. Thanks in advance. LarryN Read more: VT Forum temporarily unavailable
I need to get from Bayeux to Mont St Michel. Is there public transportation? Would renting a car and driving be doable? thanks -
We would like to know if it is possible to go on a short day cruise up the Seine from Honfleur. I have looked on many web sites but none can tell me if this is available. Thank you.
Hi all I am hoping that someone out there will be able to help me. I am doing some research on Mont Saint Michel for a book and I am hoping that someone will have the info I require. I am unable to get across to MSM until later in the year, but that means the book writing will be held up - so my question to all of you is: Are the houses and other buildings in the Village still lived in by the locals or are they all tourist shops/hotels/restaurants? If anyone can answer my question, I would be most grateful. Thank you.
I'm doing my first trip to Paris and London later this year. I'm very interested in visiting Mont Saint-Michel. I was going to take a 14 hour tour from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel and back to Paris. However, I believe the tour bus drive to Mont Saint-Michel is roughly 4 hours long so there and back would make 8 hours of the 14 hour tour driving time. I'm considering travelling from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel (via train and bus) and then staying the night there and then somehow travelling from Mont Saint-Michel to London to finish my vacation. Does anyone have any advice on this? It seems like travelling from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel to London would be faster then travelling from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel then back to Paris and then on to London. What would be the best, fast, cheapest way to travel from Mont Saint-Michel to London?
Thinking of making honfleur my base to explore Normandy region. Would tihs be a suitable town? Is there any car rental company in honfleur or any other towns near by? Welcome all suggestions

We are staying on Mont St-Michel on Sunday, April 15th, 2012 and have a 9:03 train out of Rennes on Monday the 16th. I am having trouble finding information that can get us there on time. Would renting a car be the best from Mont St-Michel to get to Rennes for that early morning train to Amsterdam? Help!!!
