Help please. How far from the city center is this hotel? Are there good transportation? I am using the public transportation. Many thanks Ze

The hotel website says it is 6km from 'downtown' (i.e. the city centre): etaphotel.com/gb/hotel-5250-... Don't know about ease of public transport access, sorry, but it's quite some way out of the centre.

next to it is Ikea which has bus conections to Basel city. aagl.ch/content_liniennetz/p... there you can find timetables

You're probably better off taking the train or S-Bahn 1 or 3, vs. Tram or bus as it is faster (no stops everywhere) but if you want to take Tram and/or bus: Tram 14 takes you "downtown" from stop "Bahnhofstrasse" in about 15 to 20 mins Bus 80 or 83 from stop "Gruessen" in Pratteln about same timeframe I'm sure they can tell you more at the hotel. Hope that helps a bit
