help! where can I buy accessories in Bari?

Will be arriving Rome Intl Airport in May 2013. What terminal do I need to get to for train travel to Bari. Sites that I have been to indicate I need to get from airport to Roma Termini. Is Roma Termini where I get the Eurorail to Bari?

I want to go mid January 2013 from Bari to Lecce (same day excursion) but can find fast train (frecceargento) only in the afternoon while going from Lecce to Bari onlyin the morning. I found out thats because this is the Lecce-Rome connections. While frecce takes 1:20hours, the regional lines take 3:50 hours. Is there a faster way ? maybe by bus ?

i am doing research on coming to bari and i need some things to do and where to eat i will be there for 14 days

Hi, I am going to Noci in December. I get to know that the only train (maybe?)to Noci from Bari is by "Ferrovie Sud est" (FES). On their website: http://www.fseonline.it/ they say the train station in Bari for Noci is "Bari Centro" but without further indication of the address. I wonder whether "Bari centro" is "Bari centrale" which is the main train station in Bari or other train station nearby? Thank you very much for the help. Best, Isabel

Hi, I am traveling from Bari airport to Vieste on the 25th of August 2012. The direct shuffle bus is once per 5 hours (so it leaves you with 4 hr airport hang out and very late arrival). Is anyone else traveling to Vieste that evening that would like to share the taxi fair? Thanks Olka

Can anyone inform me if on 15 of August the shops are opened or closed in Bari ( by shops I mean everything, supermarkets, main shopping centers etc. On my knowledge 15 of August is a National Holiday, so please let me know since i have to travel there. Thank you!

I am coming to Bari on 12th July via cruise ship. I have been looking to hire a car for the day but I cannot find any information on where the nearest car hire depot is to the cruise terminal. Does anyone know this information? If so please share. I am looking at either visiting Trani or going to see the Trulli houses, which is the best option? Thanks Neil

I'm visiting Bari for the first time and would like to find a hotel 70 euros or under for a double. We will use the hotel as a base to travel by train to Alberobello and Matera so we'd like to be close to the train station. Also, we'd like good connections to the airport by bus or train. A simple place is fine as long as it's well located and clean. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I arrive in Bari on the friday 29th of June 2012. I was hoping to catch the ferry that night to dubrovnik, unfortuantely the website for the ferry has released dates and the ferry only departs on the 28th and 30th in June, before becoming more frequent in July. Can anyone please suggest a solution? Or is it just going to be easier to take the 28th Ferry and stay in dubrovnik for a night before my cruise.

Hi need some help with my 3 day Bari trip. We will arrive Saturday night and depart Tuesday night. Pls help me out in suggesting the best way to do things. We would love to visit Matera, Alberobello and Castellana Graves besides going round Bari's historical centre. So given that on Sundays no trains run to out to the mentioned villages, was thinking of getting the 8.30 bus to Alberebello on Sunday spend the morning there Monday take the early train to Castellana and take the caves tour and Tuesday morning early train to Matera and return to Bari in the afternoon on each occasion to view Bari's centre. Or else are the caves and Alberobello doable in one day ? if they are I would spend the Sunday round Bari. Also Tuesday 6th December is Saint Nicholas day would there be anything special going on in Bari as that leaves me with a dilemma of ommitting Matera's day trip. Pls help me out to get the best I can from this trip :)

What's the best way to get from Bari airport to the train station? How much time should I allow. My train leaves Bari at 10:00 am.

We visited Italy last month and my 13 y.o. boy bought a souvenir of Castel del Monte - a glass cube with the castle etched inside. Unfortunately a friend came over and when looking at it, dropped it on the tiles breaking it. He is very disappointed as it was one of the few souvenirs he bought and I was hoping I may be able to replace it. Does anyone know where I can obtain one from (apart from personally going there again which won't happen any time soon since we've just got back!). If someone can either point me to a store that sells these in the area or could get one for me if local, I would be very grateful.

Does anyone know if there is a bus or train that runs several times/day between Bari and Conversano? If so how much is it and what times? Is there a website for the trains/buses in Bari? Also, if I wanted to go to Alberobello from Bari, what would be the best way? Bus? Train? And how can I find information about those?

I am coming from Dubrovnik to Bari by ferry. Then I have to take bus for Messina. I can not synchronize ferry and bus schedules. The ferry arrives at 20:00 at Bari and my bus from Bari to Messina departures from Via G.ppe Capruzzi - L.go Sorrentino at 22:00. Can I make it to the bus? I don't know how much time I have to stay on the ferry when it comes to port. How long it takes from going out in the port, before leaving the ferry? It comes at 20:00, but when it is possible to leave the ferry? How much time do I need from the port area to the location from where Intercity buses leave (from Via Giuseppe Capruzzi-south of the main train station)? Should I take a taxi and how much will it cost? Or is there a regular bus Thank you for all the advice.

Is there a shuttle bus from Bari airport to Alberobello - as taxi fare is rather expensive?

Hi, I´m still planning my trip for the summer. I have found accomodation in Rome, and I´m planning to take the train from Rome to Bari and stay there for a night because the following morning we are taking a cruise . I need a family room or a room for four, any suggestion about places to stay? I don´t mind staying a few kilometres from the center is the place is good and not expensive. Any suggestion? I wanted to try a place, Lecce that somebody name, but I have checked that it is about two hours from Bari, so I don´t think it is worth it just for a few hours, what do you think? I would apreciate any help.

I may have a half day, thinking of visiting the Castel del Monte castle read from some old posts that I can go by train to Andria and from there to Castel del Monte by bus, is this still valid now? are the transport very frequent and easily connect to each other? or are there any better suggestion, I will not drive around this area. thanks a lot!

We fly in to Bari and need to get to the coast near Nardo on Sept 17, 2011 to our timeshare. We are concerned about renting a car as we don't speak the language and have heard stories about the aggressive driving. We would like to hire a taxi or a driver to take us to our resort. We don't want anything fancy. Can anyone recommend someone? Would a taxi take us that far? Then after a few days we would like to rent a car in Nardo to see the local sites. Does anyone know if Nardo has car rentals? If anyone has any comments about this region we would love to see them. Thanks!!

Hello, I am coming to Bari in March with a cruise. We will be in port for only a few hours, and I am looking for the best way to go to the Castellana Caves. It appears that there is no bus or train that runs to Castellana, so I am trying to figure out if I should pay a tour guide 180 euros to drive me and my family there (FOVEA TOURS) or if it is possible to take a taxi or rent a car, and if those costs would be more reasonable.
