I'll be stopping in Bari on a cruise. Are there any public beaches walking distance from the port/old town? Thanks,

Not beaches as such but if you just want to catch some rays then lounge around the Lungomare which is maybe 5 mins walk from the the dock, there are a couple of little sandy bits but not what you may call proper beaches. A wander round the old town is well worth doing and try lunch at one of the restaurants on Piazza Mercantile. Enjoy Bari, be relaxed with it, John.
