Can anyone recommend any good and reasonably priced campsites around Lake Garda and the Trentino region. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Ian
Hi Valerie We stayed at Camping Butterfly in Peschiera Del Garda in 2005. We were in our caravan but there were some smaller pitches for tents as well. I felt the price was good for a caravan. The site was clean, well kept, and was only a short walk to the town. It was adjacent to Lake Garda. There is a train station and ferries so good to get around. see www.campingbutterfly.it While we were in the area we visited relatives who live near Brentonico. There was nice looking campsite at La Polsa. It might be good for a few days if you like walking in the hills. It was cooler than at Lake Garda (I was quite pleased about that!). It is quite high - it is a winter sports area, but seems to do a good trade in summer too. see www.campingpolsa.it Hope this helps
