I'm trying to find the lowest fares I can. I'd like to leave 6/7 from newark or JFK to Barcelona.
Then we want to return from Paris on 6/16.
I know that sometimes strange, odd, seemingly indirect routes can be much cheaper than the traditional flights, which right now are exhorbitant.
also - what can you tell me about train travel from barcelona to paris? or would it be better to fly?
hello guys,,, anyone will be there from 12/8 till 16/8 cause i need to have alot of fun.. any recommendations where do u go there.. plz send me

I have heard that Barcelonans do not like women to have legs exposed in churches. Are mid-calf capri pants acceptable? How about arms? Must they be fully covered or are short-sleeved shirts okay?

I like to know if the taxis in Barcelona goes by the meter fare or negotiated flat rates? I hace enquired the taxi fare oneway from Barcelona airport to Sants is 38Euro all inclusive. Thinking if I should take the Aerobus and alight at P. Espana and take a cab to d'Alpens instead of walking wit luggage.
My husband( who has mobility problems and uses a walking stick) and I will be taking a Western Mediterrannean cruise leaving Rome and visiting Genoa, Provence (Marseilles), Barcelona, Palma De Mallorca and Valencia in Spain and back to Rome. When the ship docks, our time is limited when visiting these cities/towns.
I am also hard-pressed for time to do my own homework what with all the packing and medical appointments for the 2 of us,hence would appreciate any suggestions as to how we could go about and see some of the sights or town.
We don't have to do the must-see places unless it is really accessible by public transport as we are not taking the shore excursions from the ship as they are really astronomical in price and have been very disappointing.
1) Would appreciate info on how to get to nearest public transport station be it bus/metro from cruise terminal.(even if possible whether there are free shuttles from the berth to entrance of cruise terminal as that would save us walking the distance)
2) We don't even mind walking around town just enjoying the ambience so long as we can get reasonable and frequent public transport services back to cruise terminal.
Would appreciate any kind of help asap as we are leaving in a ffew days' time
Many thanks
who can help? i need to know how to get from Barcelona to Museum of Salvador Dali , by train, bus etc'.... thanks a lot
Hi community,
during my trip in Barcelona I would like to get in touch with the region around Barcelona - in this case with the coast in the east of the city.
I realized that there is a railway along the coast until Blanes. However, on Renfe.com it says that there is at least one train a day along that way. Is this right?
If yes, is there another way?
And on the other hand: Is there any daytrip in the hinterland of Barcelona/along the coast (walking would be fine) you can recommend?
I would be really happy about your recommendations!
All the best from Germany!

Hi,
Any suggestions for good local restaurants? Don't want to be caught in tourist traps. We are looking for good local eats at moderate prices. We are renting an apartment in La Rambla , but my guide book says to stay away from the overpriced touristy restaurants in that area.
Any help on ANY does and don'ts would be greatly appreciated. We like to experience the local culture as much as possible.
Thanks for your help!!

Will it be the same price to purchase the entrance fees online? Or should I join a tour organise by a tourist agency?
Any recommended reasonably price hotel near the drop off point of Aero Bus from the airport.
Hi,
I'm looking for reliable information about bus services between Girona and Barcelona. I would like to take a day trip from Girona to Barcelona on Wednesday (or Thursday) this coming week. I would like to leave Girona at about 07:30 - 08:00 and return to Girona no later than 20:00 - 20:30 (i.e. depart Barcelona 17:30 - 19:00).
I have found some information on the Girona Airport website, but it appears to be unreliable/out-dated.
Can anyone please give me the name/names of companies offering bus services between Girona and Barcelona?
I know of Sagales, which appears to run a service called the Barcelona Bus. Confusingly, the run a service from Girona Centre (08:45) and Girona Airport (08:45) and a service from Barcelona to Girona Centre (17:30) and Girona Airport (17:30). Which would the better service to get?
Some websites state that you can buy the tickets on the bus, others state you can't. The Sagales website has information on where to buy a ticket in Barcelona, but nothing about Girona. Where can I buy a ticket in Girona Centre or the Girona Airport?
Would the train be a better alternative? I am somewhat concerned about taking a train because some friends have told me that Spanish trains and frequently late and considering I only have seven or eight hours at most in Barcelona, I don’t want to be delayed because of problems with the trains.
I looked at the Renfe website, and couldn't quite work out the different prices on offer. I've been told not to take a regional train. I know they take longer, and I don't mind that. The regional trains appear cheaper and I have to keep an eye on the budget.
For information, I have visited Barcelona in the past, so it is just to reacquaint, not to really visit the numerous tourist sites.
Many thanks
What is the best suggested route from 'Novotel Sant Joan Despi' to 'Montserrat'?

We are staying in Barcelona for 4-5 days after a cruise. We thought we'd stay on the outskirts for day trips. (We have a few days in the city before the cruise). Can anyone suggest an area that is safe and convenient to the outskirts? We are not sure if we should stay north, south or west of the city.
What is the best way to get from the airport to a hotel, and from the port to a hotel? And are any of the hotels near the airport OK?
where is best?
Taking the family to Barcelona in July 2013 for 10 days. We want to split our time with 5/6 days at a beach location, self catering, within 45 mins train away (were not looking to do car hire) and the rest centrally. My question really is does anyone have advice for a good location outside Barcelona for families with some kids activities & a few things to do, we want to chill really but don't want our 5 year old to be bored. We don't really like too-built up areas but need a few amenities. We are flying to BCN central so can take train. Thanks!
What is the best yuppie area in Barcelona with new bars and good restaurants?
I am looking for a very reliable transfer company for a round trip private transfer between Barcelona and Llafranc, Palafrugell. I have heard mixed reviews about Suntransfers. The reviews for Barcelona Airport Transfers look very good, but I am looking for an expert opinion.
We are going to Barcelona and want some advice on the best area to stay. Also suggestions on good, well priced accommodation for 2 adults. Just has to been clean, own bathroom and reasonably well located.
Hello everyone! After a year of not traveling due to my pregnancy and birth of our daughter, my husband and I have booked tickets to fly to Barcelona and spend 4 days there in April. Since it is our first time, we'd appreciate any tips on what to do, where to eat to enjoy the traditional cuisine, where it is better to stay (in which area) and of course which hotels are worth checking out (not very expensive).
Is there anything we should be aware of?
Thank you for your time.
Maria
In England there are shopping centers like Afflecks palace where you can get all sorts of random stuff but it's also good for piercings. Finding top of ear piercings or like if you have tongue piercings or nipple piercings that's the place you'd go to to buy new ones. Anyway my point was that I need a new hoop for the top of my ear and don't know where to go, I don't like the ones in Six or those kinds of shops, maybe I could buy it in a tattoo parlour I don't know? Any ideas?
