I would like to know in which zone of Barcelona it is better to take a hotel if during the day me and my colleagues will have to work in Santa Coloma de Gramenet which is about 12.4 km away from Barcelona. We prefer to stay in Barcelona rather than in Coloma de Gramenet. Could anyone of you give any suggestion in which zone of Barcelona would be convenient to look for a hotel taking into account that we will have to go and back to Santa Coloma de Gramenet? thank you!

Hi, Santa Coloma is along the the red metro (subway) line (L1) and you can easily get there from any place in the city center. Since it is at the northern end of the line it will take you 20 - 30 min with the metro from the center. Lots of hotels to choose from in the city. You maybe want to check Google maps of the hotels location compared to the L1 metro stops. At http://www.tmb.cat/en/home you have a lot of information about the Barcelona public transportation.
