Hi!! We are cruising out of Barcelona with Royal Caribbean on June 30th (5 people). What is the best way to get from the airport to the port? I understand it is only about 20kms. Should we go by taxi? If so, what charge should we expect? Thanks!!!!!
There may be cheaper ways of doing it than suggestedthis journey by taxi - barcelona-tourist-guide.com/... But assuming you may have had a long flight, and possibly carrying a fair amount of luggage, and if your time schedule is tight after clearing immigration etc I would definitely opt for the taxi. You would probably need 2 taxis for 5 people and luggage.

Hi, Taxis are allocated by a Marshall at the airport, they may be able to get you a minivan taxi that will take you all, if not you would need two taxis. The taxi fare should be around 20€ (depending on day, time and traffic) plus 3.10€ airport supplement, 2.10€ Cruise Port supplement, and 1€ for every suitcase

Good answers above, just to add the current taxi prices are more likely about 30€

Hi Belsaita, Maybe I should have worded my answer more clearly. I wasn't suggesting the taxi fare would be 20€ I'm assuming a taxi would go via the Ronda del Litoral so it would be around 14km (at either 0.93€ or 1.18€ per km depending on day / time) so the meter reading would be around 20€. Then the supplements I listed would need to be added to the meter reading which would take it up to around the 30€ you suggest, or are you suggesting that it would be 30€ without the supplements?

Hola Doffcocker, I'm afraid I did not read well your answer with all the supplements. I meant 30€ in total, but without suitcases. Probably 25€ where you said 20€ indeed, taxi prices are increasing after petrol rises!
