I know I just returned from Norway and Denmark a few weeks ago, but now I am planning my trip for next spring. My friend that I travel with and I have been discussing what we want to do. We both agree on Barcelona as a destination. We usually try and take in two or more areas each year. Here is the problem. My traveling partner would like to do Barcelona and Madrid. I on the other hand am leaning toward Barcelona and Sevilla. I am looking for discussion on the pros and cons of choosing Sevilla or Madrid. Does anyone have an opinion.
Why not do both, take the fast train to sevilla!

It really depends Madrid has great museums like El Prado, and La Reina Sofia as well as the Spanish Royal palace it is also much bigger than Sevilla. Sevilla as a lot of ancient architecture with arabic influences and it would be a great place to see Flamenco.

The ask is: What do you want to see or to do? If you want to see big and modern cities with museums and architecture, then, do BNC and Madrid. But, if you like to know the country you will come, go to Sevilla and surroundings. Sevilla, and the south of Spain is more traditional, authentic and more cosy... it´s warmer than the other cities. Discover the south of Spain and you will have a great experience... sure! and.. if you come to the south, let me know and make me a visit of one day.. Antequera it´s just 90 minutes from Sevilla by car and it´s so beautiful. Personally, i think that museums and architecture is world around but people only in the place you go... you never will have the same experience with Sevilla´s people than Madrid´s people nor any other place in Spain... CERTAINLY... SPAIN IS DIFFERENT! If you want to know something else, contact me, no problem. chico_hm@hotmail.com (it´s my email and my MSN). Sergio
