Hmmm...
I can think of a couple of Karaoke bars I went to, but no open-mike nights, as in a crowded club where patrons can get on the stage and sing for everyone. Normally, with Spanish drinking cup measures being what they are, this ends poorly for everyone.
You can check these two out though: http://www.antikaraoke.com www.karaokebarcelona.com
They're both great. Cheers, Leon

Only the "anti karaoke" suggested above comes to my mind.
I guess its more due to the local character than the size of drinks. Here in Barcelona, we locals tend to be quite shy, so karaokes and open mics terrify most of us.
BTW, regarding the alcohol measures, yes these tend to be generous when compared to what you get in other countries... But as well many of us will only have a drink, maybe two, each time we go out.

I don't recall any open mic places either but if you would like to hear some jam sessions, check out Jamboree and Harlem Jazz..
