I will be visiting Barbados in early February for the first. How much should I expect to pay for transportation from the airport to the Maxwell area, which I estimate is not too far from St. Lawrence Gap? All info will be much appreciated. Jillobeach

Should not cost you more that 40 BBD. Just walk out of the airport and there's people that put you into cabs. If someone offers you a ride, don't go. Go with the guys that are calling he cabs to the curb. We usually stay just past the gap and it's about 40 BBD so you should pay anywhere from 30-40 for the Gap or Maxwell Gap

When travelling along the south coast, the best way to go between Bridgetown and silver Sands is the route cabs. They are white vans with ZR as plates. They will honk for your business.They travel between these points and between for 2BBD. Best way to go.
