I am going to Bali for 2 weeks in September. I am a mature single female travelling along. I'd like to stay in 3 or 4 places while I'm there--I'd like to see some culture and religious temples, but would like to spend 4-5 days at the beach. I'm considering Amed (Eka Purnama cottages), maybe Sideman, Ubud, perhaps Sideman. I am a little concerned about getting around. Could someone let me know whether the places I've chosen work to show Balinese culture, with some beach? And can I get around between them pretty easily. Grateful for any answers--there are just so many possible places to go. Thanks!
Hello,
I wonder how long does it take to trip from Bali Airport to Central Kuta?
Thank You
Hi everyone! First of all thanks for reading my message!
My husband and me (31 and 29 years old) are going to Indonesia this October. The total length of our trip is 21 days. We know for sure that we want to spend one week in Mentawais (we will probably stay at the Aloita surf resort). Besides that we don't have any specific place that we want to go. I've heard so many incredible things about Indonesia that is hard to pick places to visit/stay. So I'd love to get some suggestions from people that have been there many times and especially from people who live there. I don't really like to go to touristic places and I sure prefer to meet local people, and go to places where locals hang out. I'd love to see some temples, go to a local yoga studio... And overall learn more about the Indonesian culture. My husband surfs but I don't. We both love the beach lifestyle (we are Brazilians living in California). So we would love to stay close to the beach! Also, some nightlife tips are always welcome! Thanks so much!!!
I am wondering if there is anywhere in Ubud, or anywhere else in Bali where these wood carvers take on apprentices. I am amazed at the beauty of the wood sculpture I see from Bali, and especially Ubud, and I am hoping that there is some way that I can train/study under a woodcarver, whether formally or informally, for at least a year. But any help with any specifics about any carving courses would be appreciated. But I am hoping to find a carver who will be kind enough to take me on as a pupil/apprentice.
looks like there is currently quite a few thunder storms, thought june would be dry season. Is there much rain in ubud area at the moment and is it at night usually or all day as well?
I am travelling to Bali 1st June for 6 days, i heard it is flooded in bali, is it safe to travel to Bali?
I am going with old parents and kids, please help.
We are planning to be in Bali in the first week of Sept and are planning to be there for one week. We are two adults and wish to stay nearer to beach in 4 star plus property. We look for guidance for our trip.
Hi I'm still contemplating booking my trip for mid August, I've just got out of a 4 year relationship.. I just want to relax, maybe party a little if possible I'm scared to go out on my own.. Will it be okay to stay in Kuta ? Just in the
Midst of it all so I don't have to travel to other areas .. I want to stay in a hotel that's so close to the beach and do close to everything pretty much walking distance to everything .. Anyone been to Phuket ? Pretty much want to stay somewhere similar to patong .. Right in the middle. But I honestly just want to be safe alone.. Are there a lot of young Aussies. Any information will be greatly appreciated.. By the way I'm also half indonesian half European (I can't speak indo) but a lot of my friends say I could get kidnapped lol ? This is an exaggeration right ? Lol
Thanks

Anyone know of a good plumber that might have a plumping snake (what we call it in the states). I have a slow going drain issues and a plunger and drain opener just doesn't get it. Also would be nice if they knew about water systems and I have a water softener that I had put in Back in January and the guy who put it in, is a bit gila and his customer service after the sale is to put it nicely is about the worst I've ever seen.
Hi, I am a single mature female travelling to Bali for 2 weeks. I'd like to see cultural sites and religious temples, and to spend 4-5 days at the beach. I am considering Amed (Eka Purnama), Ubud, Munduk, and maybe Sideman. I'm a little concerned about how I will get around between these different places. I'd like to stay at 3 or 4 places max so I am not running around the whole time. Any suggestions would be welcome! I'm also interested in renting a car for the day and touring--any suggestions about that would be great. Thanks!
Anyone know where to find American bacon in Bali? And if I bring some how much is safe to bring in and should I declare it?
