I always use Mr (Jhirakit) "TOM" OK his English could be better, but it is very good for a Bangkok Taxi driver. Also the car is bigger than the standard Meter Taxi. In addition to airport transfers Mr Tom will do mutli day hires, city tours and also longer distances such as Hua Hin, Pattaya and Ayuthaya. I have used him many times and he has been very punctual, polite and a good driver each time. Will you actually need your own driver for 3 or 4 days? There is excellent taxi service from the airport and meter taxis are cheap in Bangkok when you use the meter only. The fare is the same for one passenger or for 4 pax. There is excellent rail service in Bangkok. Rail service available from 0600 to midnight even from the airport. There are hotels not far from Airport Rail Link stations in the city or you can connect with Skytrain or subway for more choices. urbanrail.net/as/bang/bangko... Local travel agencies book tours for you on short notice. There are many travel agencies who have tours to many popular areas. These are shared van rides along with other tourists. Find a tour one day and leave the next morning. Some tours like dinner cruises you may be able to book the same day. Tour companies pick you up at your hotel and will return you there at the end of the little trip. Choose a hotel in the city where you can walk to many things and you may not need private transportation every day. Transportation from Bangkok to other cities is well organized and not expensive. Also you do not have to pay for a hotel for your driver or for his food if you use a bus or taxi. Up to you.

I agree most of the web site is in Thai, but at least you can see what the cars and drivers are like. In the photo Mr Tom is in the one in the middle.

For airport pick up and transfer they charge 1.400 Baht one way including everything (van, driver, gas, tollway and parking) if your hotel is located in central Bangkok. And for a full day in Bangkok (10 hours) they charge 3.650 Baht including everything (as above). Or you may check out the prices here bangkokbeyond.com/en/rent-dr...
