Hello, I'm taking my 60 year old parents on a shopping holiday to bangkok later this year. I'd like to book into a hotel near to the MBK shopping centre and other malls, preferably with easy access to them. I'd also like a hotel with a swimming pool. I've looked at the Residence online, and it seemed fine, but has no swimming pool. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Pathumwan Princess is part of the MBK complex. Novotel Siam Square is across the street from Siam Paragon. The Kempinski is directly behind Siam Paragon. The Asia Hotel has a BTS skytrain platform connected to it. Evergreen Place is next to the BTS.

The Arnoma Hotel is also a place to consider. It's in the Pratunam area right next to malls like Central World, Big C and other stores. And yes, they have a pool.

Hey, my advice is the Novotel Bangkok Siam Square, so close to the MBK, even u can see the Mall from ur Hotel room, decent Hotel, has a nice pool, too, as u have asked for .. Just follow the sites to catch a promo rate .. :) Hotel has a good service and I think ur parents will be satisfied w the facilities, .. novotel.com/gb/hotel-1031-no... In case u r familiar w the public transport, u can use the busses and light train to reach the other parts of the city, which have a dock station on the second level entrance of the MBK Store .. And for more shopping, Central World is in the same area, too ... Enjoy ur time in Bangkok .... :)

You have several good choices already. Do you have any price concerns? Knowing what you want to spend on a hotel room each night makes it easier to offer a suggestion. Here is another hotel that is located right in the middle of Pratunam shopping - the Baiyoke Tower Hotel. You can even visit the top level where there iws an observation deck. http://baiyokesky.baiyokehotel.com/ travelweekly.asia/news/touri... Cheaper hotels with air, private toilet, TV and pool also available.

Thanks to all for a great response! This is really helpful, as although I've been to BKK twice before, I still have absolutely no bearings there! These are reasonably within budget too:-)

I think Hotel Pathumwan Princess is the good option, adjacent the MBK shopping mall
