No shorts, and ladies should have their shoulders covered. Carry a scarf/sarong to enable this if you're going in the height of summer! There is a combo ticket for the Treasury + Palace + Temple. Though I got the combo, I was only impressed with the Temple, and the funky sculptures outside! You can also just get a ticket for the Temple, or Temple & Palace/Armouries. The treasury was disappointing. In the Palace, I was shocked to see a massive sculpture made of individual rhino horns all stuck together in the shape of a mountain!! The 3-in-1 combo cost 550 THB in 2006, so could be higher now, though the Baht has risen considerably against USD/GBP!! The Temple one was 250 THB.

200 bahts or foreigners, but free to Thai nationals, but there will be touts outside trying to sell you services as a guide, or even a free lunch etc.. (do not accept) for woman and men, no shorts. Long dress or pants are necessary and woman should be well cover above. no halter tops, tank tops, etc. Maybe bring a shawl to cover your top half is best. Ask permission to take flash photos indoors. Have fun in Thailand cheers Tommy x

The last time we took some visitors, it was 300 baht for foreigners. I Believe more now. The ticket includes admission to the Grand Palace compound and an additional ticket to the Vimanmek "Teak" Palace. Here is a good reference for dress code: http://goo.gl/fbsS When in the area of the Palace, do not listen to any tour or shopping advice from any friendly strangers. Until you are actually inside the grounds, it is best to ignore everyone. Simply smile and keep walking. Here is a photo showing the path, from the express boat pier, to the ticket booth. Basically, ignore everyone until inside the red line. http://goo.gl/0gE6W

I wore capri pants and that was still not acceptable. I had to "rent" a sarong to wear around my waist to cover my legs. It's hot in Bangkok so you may just opt to wear what you want and rent the sarong anyway while you visit. Also, be prepared to remove your shoes if you enter a temple. Thousands of shoes are piled into unsecure cubby holes so you may want to wear a pair of shoes that aren't terribly expensive. I'm not saying they will be taken - I didn't experience that, but, I did worry about my100 pair of Guess shoes I wore that day. You are supposed to wear closed toe shoes but I did see some people in sandals that were allowed in. I'm not sure it's worth the risk of being denied entrance. Enjoy your trip!
