You might want to give us a better idea as to time of day this is happening.
Normal length of drive between airport and city is 1+ hours, depending on traffic - could be even more.
Also, do you have to collect bags and transfer them to another flight or are you bags checked all the way through?
So, assuming this is the case -

20-40 mins to pass through passport control - depending on time and amount of traffic.
    1+ hours there
    1+ hours return
2 hours minimum if you're checking in international.

This could eat up almost 5 hours of your avaiable 7 hrs time. At best, 4 and change.

Keep this in mind when deciding what you want to do.

The area around the airport is not really that nice.
You should try and make it in to the center of the city if you can.

Are you going home to Manila?

Which 7 hours (that is what time of day) and how much time do you relly have allowing for the arrival time of your incoming flight and the fact you should allow good time (maybe as much as 2 hours) for getting through passport control for your onward flight?

Yes, 7 hours is not much, possibly an hour to clear immigration, an hour plus to get into the city and an hour to return to the airport which should be 2 hrs before you leave, so by my reckoning you really only have 2 hrs to spare in Bangkok which is hardly worth the effort because as soon as you arrive at your destination you will have to keep looking at the time so you will be back at Suvarnabhumi in time. However if you wish to do a little sightseeing get a taxi to the Grand Palace, probably the best attraction in the city, spend 2 hrs there and return to the airport. It is probably not worth messing around with public transport as this will consume too much of your time figuring how to get from A to B.

getting out of airport is complex at Bangkok. It takes more time, and you need to pay 1000 bahts (about USD25) as visa fee. As davidjo stated, it is not worth, unless u have some friends at B.

U can do lot of window shopping at airport.

If your 7 hours is in day time, then I would suggest that you keep your luggage at the airport and then just walk around the village and try some of the local delicacies, ask the tourist information counter staff where and how to get there and some tips. Its always interesting to test something new.

you might try "Mega-BangNa" - its just a bloody big shopping centre - eateries etc and lots of window shopping.....it's quite near - you don't have to go ibto angkok and run the risk (very real) of getting snarled up in traffic
