hi there. has bangalore got 5 days worth of sights to see in and around it or shall be thinking a bit less. im planning my trip and ny friend seems to have ear marked 5 days here for some reason. thanks

I'm an Indian female travelling on business to Bangalore from the USA. I'm staying at a 5 star hotel in the IT sector hub for approximately 3 weeks. I will be solo for the most part at the hotel. I've been told that drinking alone at the hotel could be frowned upon especially since I'm female. I typically drink a glass of wine or two with my dinner. Will it attract unwanted attention? I didn't think it would because my thought is that at a 5 star hotel in the business IT sector, most people would be open-minded. Please let me know if this is frowned upon as I definitely don't want to have any issues. Thanks in advance.

Do taxis ply between Bangalore and Mysore or do I have to hire a taxi and end up paying both ways?

hi members i have read with interest the wealth of information posted by many members. i have a specific question as to how much the regular taxi ( not radio taxi) would cost from the downtown area, say the majestic bus stand to the new airport.do they generally go by the meter or we have to mutually decide on the fare prior to commencing the journey. question number two is about the distance between majestic bus stand and the bangalore railway station (city junction). finally which would be suitble hotel,guesthouse or even serviced apartment close to the ity railway station. regards musaphir

The Air Frace flight arrives in Bangalore around 11:45 PM and I expect to be out of the airport middle of the night sometime. So what is the best way to go to Mysore from the airport in the night. Is there any bus service from Airport to Mysore during the night? What is a reasonable cost for transporation from Bangalore Airport to Mysore? This is just for one person carrying two baggages. I will be travelling from London next March to watch the cricket in Bangalore and I'm looking for a good standard hotel that isnt too far away from the main town area and cricket ground. Location is important as we will be travelling from london, UK and onto NDelhi and will only be there for a day or two and thus want somewhere that is quite central where we can go for a nice bite to eat after the match etc . any idea where the Indian team will be staying ? In mid-june of this year I am travelling overnight to Bangalore by train to arrive there at about 8 am. I would like to check into a hotel to freshen up and then take the opportunity to go on a sightseeing tour on that day. The following day I will have to catch an international flight at 7 am from Bangalore airport. Any suggestion for a decent hotel to check in the morning and check out early the following morning? I imagine the hotel has to be centrally located between Bangalore city, for sightseeing, and the airport so that it is possible to leave the hotel farly early in morning by taxi to reach the airport at least by 4 am. After working, I am going to leave morning of Saturday March 20 for personal time. Flight back home is March 25 1:30 AM. So I have about 4.5 days of free time. *Should I take flight to Agra then hang around that region then train to Deli? *Should I take 2 or 3 train rides ending up in Agra the last train to Deli? Basically sleep on the train and spend a day in 2 or 3 locations in between Bangalore and Agra? *Anything to see in Deli? Is Deli safe?

we are arriving from coimbatore around 9:30 at night, desire to reach Bangalore city station safely before 11:45 PM, to catch a train. will the vayu vajra from the airport take us directly to the station. because it is late at night , we need the Correct information right now,in the beginning of March 2010.
