My friend has been posted to Bangalore. Any really good supermarket to recommend? Hopefully one that has chinese cooking ingredients like black soya sauce etc. Thanks so much!
Hi Jackie - the big stores include Food Bazaar and Big Bazzar, but I think the best is Hypercity. Since Chinese cuisine is so popular here, your friend will have no problems getting chinese cooking ingredients. A suggestion for your friend is to join the Bangalore expats group - bangalore-expatriate-club.co... - they'll be a good source for help/info with settling into the city. It's also a social club - they get together and go out, etc.
