Hello. I was wondering if you can get a visa on arrival at the airport at Banda Aceh? I want to fly there with Air Asia from KL. Do I need to get a visa first. I am Australian. Thanks in advance
hello too, just for information, aceh is an international airport.i guess visa on arrival is available there.but to aviode mistake, please confirm with the immigration at KL.

It has been only recently that Air Asia started flying to Banda Aceh from KL. VOA are not yet available in B. Aceh, you'll have to get it beforehand.

As I know, Aceh is quiet different It will be good if you check w/ Indonesian Embassy before come to Aceh Have a nice trip, Rini K

I agree with Kilo-Fox: as an Australian Citizen you can get a VOA, but NOT at Banda Aceh. See the General Tip on my Indonesia page, where I quote the information from the Indonesian Embassy in the UK.

Hi Everyone, As of 8.6.10 A Visa On Arrival is available from the airport at Banda Aceh. Check out this post written on LP Thorn Tree forum by an expat who has been down to the local ministry to check out the validity and it is 100% correct. lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/t... Pamela
