I am going to be in Phuket toward the end of this month and want to go to Khao Sok National park for 2 days. I found a few places to stay near by. What is the best way to get there? Any recommended tour companies to use while in the park?
I am also trying to figure out the best way to do this, because after leaving Khao sok I need to fly to BKK, I suppose flying out of Surat Thiani would be best. Given all the driving I need to do, that is why I think maybe renting a car will be best? I will be with one other person.
Hello! We are planning on doing a day trip from BKK to Khao Yai NP. I've heard about some of the guided tours, and the one I've seen most recommended is Greenleaf. Does anybody have any experience getting there and/or getting around the NP? Is a tour worth the 1500 B? Is it better to rent a motorbike to see the NP? Is there a particular route we should take from BKK (bus, van, etc)?
Hi friends! Does anybody know the best way to get to the bat cave mentioned below, after being dropped off at the bus station? We are coming from BKK to Ratchaburi by van, and after that we are a little stuck. We asked a motorbike taxi to take us but he said it was too far. Does anybody have any experience getting there from the city?
there is a buy one get one free offer if anyone wants to split the costs? 3700 between us? thinking of going on either the 23. 24 25th of april
Does anyone know the train and bus times coming from Bangkok to get between River Kwai, Ayutthaya and Pak Chong Khao Yai National Park ?.
We are planning to stay in each of those destinations. We need to be in Pak Chong by 2.30pm for the afternoon tour. We don't mind which we do first - River Kwai or Khao Yai and we can fit Ayutthaya in either way as we then want to go to Sukhathai.
This is also proving to be a slow and complicated train trip arriving finally in Sukhathai around 10pm. Is there a more direct route bus trip to Sukhathai as I have had trouble finding this out on the web?
Hello, my fiancé and I are planning our honeymoon in Thailand. We will land in Bangkok on Tuesday, November 4th at around 7AM and depart on Monday, November 17th, 2014. I have our itinerary mostly set, but would love some help tweaking it, and some advice. We are in our early thirties, and are not really big drinkers. My fiancé is well-traveled, and has backpacked all through Africa and the Middle-East. I have lived abroad for some time as well, so we can take a bit of an adventure. Our itinerary is as follows....
Nov, 4th- Land in BANGKOK, Soi 38 market, stay near Sukhmvit
Nov 5th- BANGKOK- Tour Historic Sites- Temple of Golden Buddha, Temple of Dawn, Temple of Reclining Buddha, Emerald Buddha, etc., same BANGKOK hotel
Nov 6th- BANGKOK- Open, Overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai
Nov, 7th- CHIANG MAI- Elephant Nature Park in Lampang, Chiang Mai Hotel
Nov, 8th- CHIANG MAI- Open, Chiang Mai Hotel
Nov, 9th- Flight from Chiang Mai to Krabi (Departs 12:40PM, Arrives 4:10PM in Krabi), KRABI Hotel
Nov, 10th- KRABI- Railay Beach via Long Tail Boat, Krabi vs Railay Beach Hotel
Nov 11th- 1.5 Hour Ferry from Krabi to PHI PHI ISLAND, Phi Phi Hotel
Nov, 12th- PHI PHI ISlAND HOTEL- Open
Nov, 13th- 1 Hour ferry from Phi Phi to Ko Lanta, KO LANTA ISLAND Hotel (Narima?)
Nov, 14th- KO LANTA- Open Ko Lanta Hotel
Nov, 15th- 2 Hour ferry back to KRABI, Berk Fah Andaman Festival, KRABI HOTEL
Nov, 16th- Flight from Krabi to Bangkok (Depart 11:30AM- Land 12:55PM), Hotel Near BKK
Nov 17th- BKK to ORD
We already have our flights books, but we are not absolutely set on the islands yet. I think Ko Lanta is more our style, and that one is pretty set. We would be up for skipping Krabi or Phi Phi if you think it will be too much moving around. We would love to stay in beach-front bungalows with a view every night if we could. We also would love to see monkeys, do some rock climbing, kayak, and things that are a bit active. We also want to see some of the historic sites throughout Thailand. My friend stayed in a jungle tree house which sounds amazing, I just can't find anything like that. If you could help with our itinerary, I would love the assistance and will pay it forward when we return! Our budget per hotel is $100 USD per night, but would love to spend less one night, and maybe do a nicer place, $150 USD, on one island. We would love any recommendations!!!
hi! im flying into Phuket at 9:05 pm and I have made a booking for that night at,Citin Plaza Patong Hotel and Spa

I am going to visit Bangkok and Pattaya this June. I want to hire a taxi or a cab for sightseen in Bangkok and pattaya. I want a cab from reputed cab operator. Please tell me the numbers, name of taxi operator or tell me how can do my temple tour, Safari park tour etc in Bangkok and Nong nooch village, Tiffany Show in in pattaya.
We are spending 3 nights in Chiang Mai with 2 adults, 2 seniors and 2 small children. I'm having trouble finding a hotel in the Old Town area. Looking for under $80USD per night, with a pool.
Any recommendations for me? Tamarind and De Lanna is booked. Eurana and Buri Gallery have room but reviews seem a little dodgy (dirty, run down, ect). Considering Rimping VIllage...
A friend and I will be in Chiang May at the end of April and want to go to Doi Inthanon. I am a photographer so I want to hike a little bit and take pictures of nature and the water falls. Should we get a rental car and go there? Or hire a driver/tour guide? Is there a specific place to get good rates with the drivers?
