Is there anywhere in Krabi town/Ao Nang where I can buy "very loud" Thai silk shirts?
2 Years ago I bought some beautiful silk shirts depicting floating markets etc, in what the taxi driver called "government shop", but I have not seen them anywhere else.
My friend and I are visiting Krabi early May and will be staying on Railey Beach for 2 nights. Just wondering how much does it cost to rent a private longtail boat to do our own island tour. We might only choose to go to 2 most beautiful beaches and do not want to join the big crowds who joined the tour packages.
Advise on the following is much appreciated!
- Can I rent a longtail boat at Railay Beach?
- How much does it usually cost?
- Can I rent for a few hours or half day?
- If I were to join a tour package, how much is it per person?
- Which of the beaches is most beautiful and a must go?
I am planning to visit Koh Lipe either in Jan 2015 or Nov 2014. Is there much difference between this two month? (Activities, hotel rate, number of tourist)
I am planning for short vacation, please recommend how many days the minimum (3 or 4 days)?
Any nice and clean hotel can recommend? (Middle range)
My wife and I are going to Phi Phi and Railay in April. I was wondering if I should book rooms now or wait till we are there. Looking on line it looks like there are booking up , but our agent says to just wait till we are there. Is there a lot of rooms available in April being somewhat slower?
Hello, I hope somebody can give me some good advice on this:
we are flying from Copenhagen, Dk to Krabi which takes us around 12h. We wondered if it is possible (without totally trashing ourselves) to just head right to Koh Lipe with a private airconditioned taxi. I checked google maps and the route should be around 3h from krabi to pakbara- and then another 2h on the ferry--> that this sounds realistic to you? We are traveling with our 10 month old son, but hes been very easy with travels in the past and sleeps a lot in his carseat... What do you think? Yes or No? Thank you in advance!!!

Hi Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced beach bungalow on Chewang beach Koh Samui please?
We have stayed on other Thai islands before and rented nice beach front bungalows, steps from the sand for under £30.00 a night, on Chewang beach they seem to be all around £100.00 a night which is way more than we can afford. We are going to be there for 3 weeks in September. Any help or recommendations will be greatly appreciated :)
Will it be safe to travel to hatyai in April? To be precise it's during the Songkran Festival. As I'm aware the protest was mainly at Bangkok area. Not sure wether will it spread to Hat Yai. Any feedbacks from follow forumers here is totally appreciated. Thanks
