Having been to Koh Lipe a couple of times before it was transformed I now hesitate in returning.
I'm in the area (south of langkawi) and it's still (daily) raining season, but I'm wondering about which islands to the North of Koh Lipeh may be alternatives.
Have you been to Koh Kradan and is it affordable and are the waters as clear as Koh Lipe's? Koh Muk?
I've passed by those islands on my way from Lipeh to Krabi and seen extremely small islands where I question its safety (in case of another tsunami).
Please suggest, and elaborate on some island from your personal experience.
Hi, I am going to Bangkok for research. Does anybody know how I can get a research assistant to accompany me meet people and translate work.
The only way I can think of is contacting a private tour guide, but I dont know if they can offer such service.
Hi there, I'm travelling back to Koh Samui Dec 04 and it will be solo this time. I'm fine during the day but could anyone recommend where to go at night in the Chaweng/Lamai area? Chilled bars are fine as I don't want to be labelled with all those guys who want young girls.
We are an independent group from Singapore visiting Bangkok over the New Year holidays and plan to visit the Erawan Museum. We will be staying in Sukhumvit area near to Thonglor. A friend has advised that we can take the BTS from Thonglor all the way to Bearing and from there hop on the free shutter service to the museum.
What I need is the schedule for this free shuttle service and where is the alighting point. Can someone please help me with these information?
Thank you and we look forward to visiting the Erawan Museum.

While planning my trip to Thailand and after chose which island to rest at the end of the trip, found the most difficult thing is choosing a nice resort at a beautiful pristine sandy beach.
As far as I saw, most of the beaches have rocks and few sand and/or the resorts are not that interesting...
Suggestions are more than welcome!
Last time I was in Bangkok (beginning of June 2013), I witnessed a toy auction in front of Pantip Plaza. At least I think that is what it was. Sellers would present new toys (dolls, cars, remote controlled helicopters...) and people (mostly Thais) would say how much they are willing to pay. Top bidders would get the toys and the auction would start again with another toy.
I'm going to Bangkok again soon and would like to know if this auction is a regular occurrence? How often is it held? Do they always sell toys or do they sell some other merchandise too?
Thank you for your time!
I'm planning to visit Bangkok end of Jan & will reach BKK Mon at 12:50 & need to catch a domestic flight in DMK at 15:30 to Phuket via Air Asia.
I thought a taxi (with approx Bhat 400) is the fastest way. Do you think I can manage? How much time a taxi will take? Any faster ideas, pls? Appreciated.

I'm travelling to Thailand in feb 2016 for 10 days, am 20 years old and travelling with friends. I'm interested in seeing the beaches, temples/monuments/main sites and partying. Does anyone have any recommendations of the top places to see/what's worth seeing in this short time. I'm looking to minimise travelling time but am still looking to see as much as possible.
We are travelling from BKK airport to a few internal flights does anyone know the amount of luggage we can take please we are allowed 30kgs on Emirates from the uk and it would be good to know if there is a limit thanks were going to Hanoi and possibly koh samui
This is for the Laos visa - I read that it is 1500 baht if you pay in baht and not in dollars. I suppose one could take out the baht, go to an exchange office, and dollars again. Rather silly, especially if one loses about the same amount (1500 baht is $41.something) - Is it possible to get dollars at a bank directly? thanks, Jean
Bus transportation is available for all important sight seeing ?
hello there, i am going to hat yai this december with my brother. And we are planning to rent a motocycle. Can it be a convenient to getting around? Is it safe? We prefer not to take tuk tuk because we like to discover hat yai by ourselves and we are in budget.
Your advice are very helpful
Hi, Can anyone confirm whether BMT bus No 3 runs all night to Morchit 2? And how often are they supposed to run? I need to be at Morchit by about 6am, starting from Thanon Phra Sumen, and want to be sure if I wait for a bus at around 5am that I'll get there in time.
