We are staying at the Wurzburgwr Hof Hotel. We need restaurant advice on places that are walking distance of the hotel. Preferably in The 10 to 20 Euro range, have English menus, looking for basic food like sausages, snitzel, and also good breakfasts. We do not drink wine but I like beer and my wife drinks coke. Simple places will work.

      2nd Streetlife Festival/Corso Leopold

      Munich Aug 4, 2015 at 3:02 PM

Hallo. I was just informed that during 2 of the days we will be in Munich there will be this open air festival and I assume that there must be no traffic to 2 main streets, Leopoldstrasse and Ludvigstrasse. I guess the underground transport will go on as it is and only buses or trams may change routes. Do you have any idea about all this or any page where I could be informed (only in english). Thank you.

It seems that cycling in the Bamberg area is quite amazing, and I'd love to either rent a bike for a couple of weeks or buy a used one that I can use my entire 6-week stay. Any ideas of what's more convenient and economical?

I live in Bamberg and have been here for about 6 weeks now. I have gone sight seeing and have experience quite a bit of the German culture. However, I am beginning to miss certain foods and condiments. For example Tapatio hot sauce, El Pato tomato sauces, and various other spices. I am no stranger to the road and if anyone knows where I can find these items please let me know.

      Thank you

Earlier this year I visited Bamberg and purchased a hat- a woollen cap. I am very pleased with it and should like to purchase another. I have lost the address of the shop and will be grateful if someone can provide me with the information I need: i.e. name of shop, telephone number, e-mail address.

The shop window had the sign "HOLLAND" in the window and "WEGENER".

The shop is situated on the left side of a street leading acroos the bridge towards the Cathedral

When I was a lad I courted the girls: No that's a different song. I was stationed in Bamberg as a lad for eigteen months in the French Prussian wars it seems. Going back to the scene of my dastardly, misspent youth. What should I expect in Bamberg and Bavaria 40 years later? Hotels, restaurants what have you are welcome.
