I am a little confused...someone on here said that it cost $70 to get from the BWI Airport to downtown Baltimore, but when I use a fare finder it says it cost's around $25. Does anyone know the answer to this? I am staying on W. Franklin Street.
Going to a game at the Orioles stadium and wanted to take some friends to a really great restaurant that's also close to the stadium - so that we can eat and get there in time for the start of the game at 7:00PM. Any suggestions for best place near the stadium would be greatly appreciated.
My Mom is turning 89 this year and we're looking for something special to do with her. We all grew up in Baltimore and are going to see her for her weekend. She can get around pretty well. We're looking for something to do that would be interesting for 11 year olds on up. The Aquarium is a bit too expensive, plus too much walking for her. Any ideas?
I was told that the Phillip's buffet is not in operation. Yet, you have a review about it being operated on the weekends. Just trying to clarify if this is accurate. If not is there another place that doesn't break the bank where five of us can have a buffet meal?
Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to take a taxi fro Penn Station to 24 West Franklin Street? Thanks for your help.
I am going to Baltimore for business and will do some sightseeing there during the week, but I have all day Sunday and I would like to see Washington DC. I also like historical tours of houses or farms where you can learn about live in the "old days". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially regarding cheap transportation or tours and also any restaurant suggestions. Thanks.
Sometime in April, I made a reservation at a hotel near BWI for a cruise package. They offered free parking for the week of the cruise, breakfast and a shuttle to and from the port for a one night stay. The night was to be October 31st. But I have lost my emails about it and no longer remember what hotel it was. How can I figure this out?

We will be heading to Baltimore from 12/30-1/1 and would like ideas of what to do for New Year's Eve celebration at the Inner Harbor. We've researched options (Sheraton Convention Center Party, Power Plant Live, etc), and are open to them, but we don't know first hand what is the best option....and also feel we might be missing another option that we haven't come across....
For my next trip, I would like to know if you knew the "Painted Ladies",these multi-colored Victorian style houses. I would like to know the street where the houses are situated.
thanks in advance.
My husband and I are flying into BWI in September to visit our daughter and grandchildren in Virginia. We have never used public transportation as we aren't frequent travelers. We need to get from BWI to Dulles to be picked up by our daughgter, so would really appreciate any suggestions for SAFE, reliable public transportation. I have to admit, getting into a car with a stranger driving us through very unknown areas of a busy city, gives ME especially, great anxiety!! Did I mention that I am 69 years old and my hubby is 82? PLUS, we live in a very small town and just aren't that savvy when it comes to travel. But we are longing to see our kids, so are willing to step outside our comfort zone! Thanks for sharing your experience with public transportation from BWI to Dulles. And God bless :-)

going thru baltimore tunnel on I95 (S) are the signs clear enough to get me to I195, then I295. I would rather do that then stay on I 95 down to I 495. I don't want to go ALL AROUND I495 (torture).
Can anyone tell me the best way to get from the Amtrak station (Penn) over to the departure Port for carnival cruise lines? I assume taxi is my only option, but just thought I would check with my fellow travelers! Thanks, -Hal

Heading to Inner Harbor for a 2-3 business trip in a few months and hubby will be joining me. We love to explore the places that only the locals know about. A cold beer, delicious crab cakes, burger -- you know the kind of place I mean. Needs to be in a walkable and safe area from the Marriott. What are your suggestions? Thanks so much!

Hi i'm flying into Baltimore and staying at the admirals fell in at 12 pm and was thinking of doing the train to get to and from the hotel and airport. it's just so confusing and then i thought I saw it's a thirty minutes from train stop to my hotel. I know i was told a car is not good for the city. I really only want to go to aquarium and a couple museums and dinners. What's the best safest way to get around the area? thanks to anyone who can help me with this
Is there a way I can drive by car to Baltimore (particularly Baltimore Convention Center) from Rockville, Maryland and avoid bridges and ramps? I have a fear of bridges and ramps, and I understand there is a longer round-about way to get to Baltimore and avoid ramps and bridges? I currently take a taxi, and that has gotten too expensive and prefer to drive myself. Thank you.
WHEN DID THE TRAIN STOP RUNNING FROM HARRISBURG, PA TO BALTIMORE, MD.
