We will be heading to Baltimore from 12/30-1/1 and would like ideas of what to do for New Year's Eve celebration at the Inner Harbor. We've researched options (Sheraton Convention Center Party, Power Plant Live, etc), and are open to them, but we don't know first hand what is the best option....and also feel we might be missing another option that we haven't come across.... Any thoughts?
For my next trip, I would like to know if you knew the "Painted Ladies",these multi-colored Victorian style houses. I would like to know the street where the houses are situated. thanks in advance.
My husband and I are flying into BWI in September to visit our daughter and grandchildren in Virginia. We have never used public transportation as we aren't frequent travelers. We need to get from BWI to Dulles to be picked up by our daughgter, so would really appreciate any suggestions for SAFE, reliable public transportation. I have to admit, getting into a car with a stranger driving us through very unknown areas of a busy city, gives ME especially, great anxiety!! Did I mention that I am 69 years old and my hubby is 82? PLUS, we live in a very small town and just aren't that savvy when it comes to travel. But we are longing to see our kids, so are willing to step outside our comfort zone! Thanks for sharing your experience with public transportation from BWI to Dulles. And God bless :-)

Is there a way I can drive by car to Baltimore (particularly Baltimore Convention Center) from Rockville, Maryland and avoid bridges and ramps? I have a fear of bridges and ramps, and I understand there is a longer round-about way to get to Baltimore and avoid ramps and bridges? I currently take a taxi, and that has gotten too expensive and prefer to drive myself. Thank you.
WHEN DID THE TRAIN STOP RUNNING FROM HARRISBURG, PA TO BALTIMORE, MD. THANK YOU.

Hello, I'm moving to the Baltimore area this coming summer for a job and I just had a few questions. What are some good/safe areas to live in Baltimore as well as suburbs of Baltimore? I was looking at Towson as well as surrounding areas. My family lives in Philadelphia so to make the trips back home shorter, I'm trying to find something either in Baltimore or northeast area that closer to Philly, but still about 20 - 30 minutes away from Baltimore, so nothing South of Baltimore (like Columbia). Thank you

Hi, It's great getting lots of info from members here. We will be staying around Inner Harbor area in Baltimore and plan to travel from Baltimore to Philadelphia (Reading Market area), subsequently travel from Philly to NYC ( around Penn Station) or anywhere there is a PATH station. Any suggestion for bus services that is convenient for this itinerary? That doesn't require us to travel too far from hotels to the bus terminals. How are Greyhounds, megabus or gotobus? Any other suggestions are most welcome. Thanks.
