I would like to know the timetables for trains from Melbourne to Ballarat and return and do they run on weekends

if you are by chance arriving by plane there is a shuttle bus directly from Tullamarine airport to Ballarat - you walk out to the median strip in front of the terminal and look for a helper in a green jacket, he will tell you where to wait, there are many busses leaving from there. I think the bus runs every 2 hours on week days. It costs25 one way and45 for a return ticket.
