Hello, We are very happy an excited to being able to take a two weeks holiday in Bali starting end of January for two weeks. Would really appreciate to hear your suggestions and insights on how to plan it! Background: Two adults in their thirties with a 3 year old. In SE Asia we have been to Malaysia and Thailand w/o the kid and to China with the kid. We LOVE the atmosphere of an island and the people on it, we LOVE the SE food, mostly Thai. We love clean water and blue skies :) We are not party people and we do not drink and try to avoid the big crowds. Not into temples after seeing many already. We LOVE good food, this is how we mainly record our travels by what we eat :) As for the kid, she is on Energizer batteries and loves anything from a tissue paper to an elephant. So, we loved the atmosphere at langkawi and koh phi phi, yet that was when we were without a child, I think that two weeks is too long for that. Budget: umm, yeah, we are on a budget and in fact are not interested in any luxury hotels or any hotels that hide the natural beauty of Bali. Eating at local restaurants local food would be awesome. Many thanks for your help! Amanda
I will be in Bali this coming dec 28 and spent new year eve there. Anyone could suggest where is the best location to book my accommodation? I will be travelling alone.
Does Air Asia depart through new terminal or old terminal?
We will be in Ubud for 2 days only and are looking for fairly central accommodation. We want to see the Monkey Forest, and stroll around the sites (I don't want to have to hire a car). We'd also like to see some of the rice field (I do understand that without a car we'll be on the beaten track).
We're after a private room, with ensuite. Clean but doesn't have to be fancy, that will allow us to appreciate Ubud by foot. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
with my son (12 years old) we'll arrive first time to Bali around 15 December for 4 weeks. We have no plan. We like beach, tours, excursions, buying souvenirs, market etc... not very crowded place. Can someone give me any suggestions about accommodation and which part of Bali (maybe Ubud). I would like to have a bungalow on the beach side (middle budget)
It's better to do reservation on line or when we arrive there? Through agency or my own?
thank u for help,
Hi! This is my first time travelling alone, and my first time to visit Bali. I was wondering, is there a place where solo travelers like me frequent? I want to be able to meet different people and hopefully make new friends!
Can anyone tell me the name of the DVD shop near the Dynasty Hotel in Kuta, Bali, please. An "email" address would also be handy. Thanks Rog01.
best place for a middle aged couple to have xmas lunch or dinner in sanur please

Am social but like time to myself too.
Want stylish yet authentic accommadation ( mid price) where i can mingle or enjoy my own comapany.Want to stay beachfront as morning and evening beach walks are what i'm looking forward to.
Have had four previous trips to Bali, but always as a couple ( stayed: Seminyak,Legian, Tuban and Kuta.) I will definately have 3 to 4 days in Ubud, but want some shopping, massages and beach walks .Want to stay in accomodation beach front. friends are recommending Legian,Kuta ..as i like discovery mall and Kuta Sqaure).I am now thinking Sanur? Or is that location geared for the more mature...? Maybe a bit too quiet ..? Hotel suggestions re my age and the fact that i am travelling on my own needed . Was thinking Ramada Resort Camakila Legian , Bali Garden... Liked Santika tuban but not available...
Looking forward to suggestions
Anyone ever stayed at the mercure nusa dua ?...
Plus we plan to stay a weekend in kuta and have looked at the grand mega resort hotel.. again a good choice or not ?
We are coming to Bali in a few weeks and were going to stay in Sanur. Mostly chose this area as we found a nice looking hotel with a 2 bedroom suite at a good price. What do you all think? Some people say it is too far away and there is not much there. We want to do a little shopping and visit a few spas but if we have to travel to Kuta for this we may as well stay closer. Any thoughts?? We are travelling with a two year old so will spend a lot of time poolside with her but I hope to escape for some relaxation and shopping too. Also if anyone can recommend things to do with her?
How important is it? Do you recommend getting it? Is it for everyone?
I will be arriving in Bali in October and would like to hire someone who can take us out to see the sites...any advice and recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks sooo much.
My name is maria. I am female, backpacker, mid 20s, solo traveller. I am going to Bali for three weeks from 9th November. I am looking to relax on the beach for a week and also do some hiking and shopping during my stay. I am spending my first week in a Ubud and I have accommodation and transport from the airport sorted.
I do not have any accommodation or plans for the last two weeks of my trip.
-Should I book accommodation for my second two weeks now or will I be ok to rock up at a hostel?
-Does anybody recommend good hostels?
Hii, I will be visiting Bali in mid-October and excited about going solo just as a getaway to relax and clear my mind and do some diving. I would like to visit Ubud for a day trip and whitness all the Balinese culture. I read that Ubud is a great place to visit if one is interested in that sort of stuff. I will be residing in Kuta but not that interested in the bars and clubs. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get to Ubud and will it be easy to find a place to spend the night? I will be taking my backpack and camera. Any help is appreciated.
Hi!! I would like to ask your opinion about doing a trip to Bali by myself, i have contacted with a car driver to show me the island, and i have doubts about travelling alone. Will i feel safe there? Should i have worries? The trip is having been planned about 3 months, and about a week to go, i am think twice. Can you give me some advice? Very thankful!
