I was recently recommend UBUD as a destination to consider for time out to recover my health, and reignite my spirit, emotionally, physically and artistically. I am single, a photographer / graphic designer and seek a safe place to call home for 2 mths.
On my wish list is the following:
Advise given to me was to find a nice place to stay and then go and visit a place called the Yoga Barn as from there I could find many opportunities for health / healing networking and so forth etc.
Does anyone have any tips for art workshops of any kind? A central place like the Yoga Barn maybe and a website perhaps etc.
Are their any forums one can use to network - maybe to find other people in Ubud where one can share interests - ie photography, or just hook up for coffee etc.
I am planning to go Sept / October
I am not a beach or bar person. More inclined to seek peaceful environs....
Many thanks in anticipation.
P.S. I am in my 40's so I would like some comforts but it doesn't have to be extravagant. Gone are the days of backpacking :)
Does anyone know what the ATMs in Bali charge? And what is the maximum amount of cash you can withdraw from the ATM?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I will be in Bali 5~9 may for a short holiday.
Need a bike to move around....any suggestion vter
I will be landing in Denpasar a day ahead of the rest of my travelling mates, and then we're headed off to Seminyak. I will be landing in the evening of May 21, 2013, and meeting the rest of my mates the next day in the early evening.
I would like to spend a day exploring Denpasar on my own, but unsure of where to stay at for the evening. A hotel I have seen with a great rate is Cityzen Renon. Anyone have any opinions about this hotel? It seems to be well rated.
Also, any suggestions on "must-sees" in Denpasar?
Thanks in advance!
Hi i will go to bali around 27-31 dec 2013, anybody want to join with me exploring bali?
We are looking for a photographer to take some family photographs of us at sunset, but don't want to pay for a "package deal". Is there a young photographer just starting his (her) business that any of you may know for these kinds of photos?
Hi i have 2 questions:
1) Anybody can advise on the car rental procedures in Bali? What to take note of when renting car?
2) I have a customized Google Map with all the placemarks of attractions that i want to go, does anyone know how to load/export all my placemarks to the Google Map App i have installed on my tablet?
I've searched quite some place to stay for long-term in Bali, i prefer villa / resort coz at least there's someone who could help us with the tidy and laundry, currently i am staying at a rented house, although it's cheap, but many things have to manage by ourselves, electricity, water, and tidy is the worst.. any recommendation on any nice resort or villa for longstay, but pricing is bellow USD1000/month..? thanks all
Just wandering if anyone know of this place and what is around there to do.

Hello, Everyone! I will be travelling to Bali for my brother's wedding at the end of May 2013. I will have 10 days after the wedding to travel around Bali on my own. Suggested itineraries? Ubud for a few days is definitely on my list. I don't really care for secluded beaches as I'll be travelling on my own, but trekking and seeing the culture and history of Bali are high on my list.
I will be starting in Seminyak / Kuta as that's where I'm staying for my brother's wedding.
Thanks in advance!
My husband and I are looking at staying in Bali in July from around the 18th-29th. We are not party animals so Kuta is not really where we want to stay. What we do want though is a accommodation that is walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. We are probably looking at a budget of about $125 per night at the most for accommodation. Neither of us have been to Bali before so we are not sure where to start with our research. This holiday will be for our first wedding anniversary also so we want it to be special.
Thanks

Hello there, I am planning to visit Bali for our honeymoon in next july. We will be spending a total of 5-6 nights. We are searching for a luxury resort or villas where we can have some privacy and great views of ocean & mountain views having massage therapy to take out the stress of the wedding. We are interested to stay 3-4 days in jimbaran bay & 2-3 days in Ubud. I would appreciate if someone can share his/her experience with a classy resort. We looked for Four Seasons in both areas but I am not sure if the price worths it. Also saw a hotel of Bvlgari. Looking forward to hear some recommendations.
Does anyone know of hotels in either Legian, or Seminyak with Seaviews. I am staying for eleven days and would like to relax. Thanks
