wherever you go in Indonesia you'll have a great time. I'd agree with the previos poster in saying that you could easily go to Bali with an uncourageous travel partner, or even on your own! The people are lovely, there's plenty of tourist infrastructure, it's really not a difficult or dangerous destination. Just got back from 2 months in Indonesia (including a few days in Bali) and am now off to your home country for a year! Enjoy your trip!

If you plan to travel about, Bali map is very recommended. Try to get BALI & LOMBOK FRE MAP leaflet. It's available upon arrival at the airport. Visit its web site www.baliday.info to find the distribution list to make sure where to find it. Good luck!
