DIRECT FLIGHTS TO BALI FROM THE UK ?

by donk71 Online Now Mar 29, 2005 at 1:46 AM

Can anyone plese advise the best way of getting to Bali form the UK(London) .Do all flights involve a stopover or is it possible to fly to Denpasar direct ? Also , my wife and I are thinking of going to Ubud in October , am I corret in thinking this is the 'wet' season ? If so , is the 'wet ' really that much of a hinderance or just short /heavy showers occasionally ? Many thanks.

Hi - I'm pretty sure there are no direct flights. When I went a few years ago, I went on Thai as they had a good price, and changed planes in Bangkok. Via Singapore on Singapore Airlines would be a good way to go - both the airline and airport are good. Cheers, Jeremy

Yup, Garuda pulled out of the UK a few years back , so no direct flights. Best bet is Singapore Airlines or Malaysian Airlines - you will have a stopover of 1-2 hours between flights.

Hi As other vters have said there are no direct flights to Bali and most will stop off in the far east-however some stops really are just for refuelling and can turn around in just over an hour,so its worth doing if you want to get there asap.If you want to book a holiday as opposed to fligts then accom.I would seriously consider phoning some of the companies in the Sunday newspapers as they can put together a deal that is sometimes just as cheap as just airfare. Travelbag put together a fantastic deal for us later this year -but shop around!! The weather in Oct shouldn't be bad at all.we usually travel late oct early nov-and I don't think I have ever seen rain at this time.Good luck and dont hesitate to reply back to me if you need more advice.

Agree with everyone else no direct flights. As to the weather have been in Bali twice once in September and last year in October, never had any rain at all either of those times. If it does rain it is unlikely to last very long. Am sure it will be wonderful
