Looking or a beautiful boutique hotel for me nd my mom but not even sure where we want to be. I know we don't want to be anywhere near loud partiers but we are not totally boring and like a drink, lively bar, shops etc.
what's the best boutique hotel in ibiza? Are taxis easy to get or do we need a car?

My boyfriend and I will be spending 3 days in Ibiza this coming July. Can anyone recommend hotels, things to do, etc.? A friend of mine said there was a boat trip one could take to a remote beach island which was amazing, but she could not remember what it was. We are looking for something relatively affordable and will likely only hit the party scene one of the 3 nights we are there. Thanks!

My husband( who has mobility problems and uses a walking stick) and I will be taking a Western Mediterrannean cruise leaving Rome and visiting Genoa, Provence (Marseilles), Barcelona, Palma De Mallorca and Valencia in Spain and back to Rome. When the ship docks, our time is limited when visiting these cities/towns.
I am also hard-pressed for time to do my own homework what with all the packing and medical appointments for the 2 of us,hence would appreciate any suggestions as to how we could go about and see some of the sights or town.
We don't have to do the must-see places unless it is really accessible by public transport as we are not taking the shore excursions from the ship as they are really astronomical in price and have been very disappointing.
1) Would appreciate info on how to get to nearest public transport station be it bus/metro from cruise terminal.(even if possible whether there are free shuttles from the berth to entrance of cruise terminal as that would save us walking the distance)
2) We don't even mind walking around town just enjoying the ambience so long as we can get reasonable and frequent public transport services back to cruise terminal.
Would appreciate any kind of help asap as we are leaving in a ffew days' time

flying into Mao with a bike, no left luggage available at the airport, is there any at the bus station?

My wife and I are moving to Mallorca in early April 2013 and are looking for a rental property until late October 2013. We've found a few through some online real estate sites though I feel there's more out through private rental and are just not advertised. It's a big ask considering you don't know me from a bar of soap, though maybe someone knows of an apartment/house that might be available for this period? We have a budget of no more then 500 euros a month, not a great deal though I'm surprised at what you can get for that amount in Spain. Besides our budget the only other request is to be close to the sea :) I hope I'm not asking too much but any help at all would be fantastic !

My boyfriend and myself are in our mid 30s (far too old for clubbing!) so would enjoy all the cultural type sights rather than the nightlife! We're also thinking of taking our inlaws (mid 60's). Do you think this is a good idea? From the answers it seems as though the party season won't be open yet which is obviously a good thing, but I just want to make sure that they don't feel a bit too old and out of it??

Me and my boyfriend are 19 and 23 and wanting to go away to Majorca in August for our 4 year anniversary for 7-10 days. I've been to Alcudia about 5 times and Love it but want to try somewhere different!

We want somewhere with nice restaurants and bars as we love eating out and sangria! Needs to be a nice beach and within a distance of days out and things to do.. any suggestions would be really helpful.

Hey , i am planing to visit Majorca with my friends, and i was wondering if there are any activities, attractions open in this dates. i heard that in the winter there is not much, yet i believe there has to be some movement around the island during winter. do you know of anything ? thanks, any recommendations ? I'm planing to have my honeymoon in Spain and will be going for sure to Majorca. i came across some marvelous villas there for rent with a nice pool, but the problem here is that I'm not sure if the weather in Majorca in April are good for swimming. i need your help folks if i should do more search on villas with heated pools or i should go with just any villa if the weather will serve me for practicing swimming. it'll be much appreciated.

Hey. Up at the top of Dalt Vila, on the upper level of the castle, there's a modern tomb-effigy of a monk-like man dressed in robes. The inscription on the tomb(?) is in Spanish, so we never knew who it was an effigy of or why it was up on the battlements. Is it connected with a famous historical event?
