Hi Does anyone know if travel agencies in Baku arrange trips around the country or what about public busses and places to stay ? (I speak very well Russian). What about further trips to Turkmenistan and Kazachstan? Anyone did such a trip`= What about mid-October- I have not consulted yet a guide books since it came just to my mind that I should get some excitment doing some interesting and unusual trip. Maybe someone with some real first hand informatiom can advise me. Thanks.
Azerbaijan is quite well connected with public transport. There are buses, mini-buses, shared taxis and train, all of them are super cheap. That said, some of the most interesting places, like Xinaliq or Lahic can be a little more difficult to reach. As for Turkmenistan, it is VERY expensive to visit. All tourists must be on a fully escorted tour. Hi. Thanks for interest on my homeland :) There are a lot of travel agencies in Az. I can attach several agency links here. They organize 3-4day trips to the most impressive parts of Aze in the mountains. (Lahij, Khinliq-Quba, Shaki). The price for this kind of regional trips begins from 60 manats (about 50,...eu). It depends on the #of days of nights and meal offers. Baku city excursion can include visits to the village of Absheron peninsula, or just the old parts & museums of Baku. This can cost 15-25 manats. There are so many interesting museums in Baku: Carpet museum, Traditional Music Instruments museum, History museum, free entry galleries. Public buses and metro within the city cost 0.20 Manats, (20cents). If you speak russian, you will not have a big problem in contacting in public transport ;) I hope it will help you :)

And, more else, the prices which I said it was the fee of only tour, as a foreigner, u will need visa, pasport, transport costs as well. Together it will cost differently :)
