Is my passport valid for visa ?

I have a indian passport valid till 2011. My doubt is that its a hand written passport (name and address,validity hand written in the passport by the officers). As it was made in 2001 it was not a computer printed. I want to know will there be any problem from the ministry in issuing my visa cos its a valid hand written passport and not a printed one. Looking forward for replies from all. Thanks.
