Hi, I will be visiting Kameman and will be going to Resort World Kijal. Does anyone know the taxi fare between these places? Are taxi's easily available at Kemaman (The Store) which is the bus drop-off location? Does the taxis go with the meter? Do we have any reliable taxi operator in the city who can be contacted for the pick & drop from these locations?
I will appreciate if someone can answer these questions. Thanks
I'll visit Malaysia in mid/late February and want to trek with a guide for about 3 days (2 nights) in Taman Negara. I'm alone, cost for guide etc is too much for me.
Thanks in advance!
I would be happy to get some advise on my travel itinerary around the Malay peninsular!!!
Just 1 person. Budget per day: 200MYR = 80SGD
My main interests: culture, local people, food, historic sights, trekking, nature, few days relaxing on the beach. Disinterests: Party, alcohol, shopping, meeting too many western tourists.
Guided 3 day trek in Taman Negara/Kenong Rimba would be great but costly alone. Joined tours unlikely due to monsoon. Islands east of Malaysia would be great to but also money and time consuming logistics and risky weather. Right?
Thus this is my itinerary so far (flexible "on the ground" if sensible):
What I wanted to add (but didn't know what to remove):
What is better: Kenong Rimba or Taman Negara? Are 2-3 days sufficient?
What do you think? What should I change/add/remove or should I definitely keep as planned?
Thanks in advance!
My name is Rachel and my friends and I have a research paper on the aboriginal tribe - Batek Tribe in Taman Negara, Pahang Malaysia. We want to plan a visit to the Batek village and have an interview with the tribesmen so to have a deeper understanding of their cultures and traditions, but due to our financial limitations as students, we are having trouble finding a tour package that suits our needs and stays within our budgets. Do you have any idea how to book a tour guide and a boat trip to the village individually? Without going through tourism companies? Or do you have any alternative solutions? Thank you!!
Well we are in phuket now and planned to go to langkawi on a ferry. While we are sure we have seen such a service leaving in the morning and arriving the same day......we are now struggling........ oopops, wife not very happy with me...... does anyone know of such a service......
Next month I am traveling through KUL on my way to India for 18 days, then returning. Following that I will be diving in Indonesia and Malaysia for a month. Since I won't be diving in India I would like to leave my dive gear (carry-on size bag) at or near KUL.
I am flying round trip to GOI via Air Asia, then off to Manado via SilkAir. I don't know if airlines offer longer term baggage storage. I have a hotel room booked the night before I leave for india- I was hoping I could work something out with them but they aren't returning my email queries.
Are there lockers at the airport which would accommodate this? Any other options would be appreciated.
We're planning on organising a day trip from Kota Kinabalu to see the orang-utans and visit the rainforest centre. Not sure whether to get a 6pm flight back or whether people would recommend getting a later flight back about 8-9pm to have dinner or explore Sandakan.
Any recommendations/suggestions welcome!
