What's the best way of seeing the island of Negros? Is it possible to rent a car in Bacolod with an international driver's license? Or is it only possible to rent a car with a driver? What would be a reasonable rate? Traveling with Bheng.
I think its better to rent a car with driver since there are many unposted road signs. I know your international driver's license will be valid in the Philippines for 6 months upon arrival. You can buy E-Z map (Visayas edition) at any Philippine bookstore or at airports of major cities. Its not really very accurate but it will do. We use this guide when we travel. You can rent a self-drive but you have to return it from where you rented it.
