Hi everyone! I am going to Krym this August and I am looking accommodation in a little town not far from the coast. hi have someone any recommedation to stay at somewhere in Bakhchisaray? Besides I'm interesting in timetable and costs for the bus connection Simferopol airport-Bakhcysaray as well as the taxi expends for the route
Dobry den, I consider going south up to Turkey (but It can happen that I will finish in Polish mountains-hahaha).However I also realised that Ukrainian currency is only one, which is weaker against PLN vs. 2008. So perhaps Krym (my teenage children want warm-comparing with Baltic- water)? My main obstacles are: -unfrienldly border- waiting time by car (for all of us) -What to see on the way after Lviv? Zigzags toward Odessa, Kamieniec? something else? -Are there calm villages (not necessary directly at the sea, but not far from it) -Are there uncrowded beaches? -Why many Ukrainians prefer Bulgaria instead of Krym? -Can I find modest (I don'care about TV and air condition) but spotless places with bathroom for max 7EUR/person) without reservation in advance by winging? Somebody in Polish travel forum wrote also about Kaciveli and Olenevka-these looked as more crowded (or I'm wrong) what do you think? Are there other places? How about Azovske More? Why is it less crowded? You can answer also in Ukrainian or Russian. Thanks,
Am planning vacation into the Simferopol area. most likely 14016 days. Please advise to activities and places to view. Also is this to long for this area? also what is the cost for small apartment for same period of time. with Kitchen. I thank you.
Hello, I will be travelling in your country and Russia in april. I can't find if there is a bus from Simferopol to Krasnodar or Rostov. Can you help me? How long will it take or is a taxi an alternative? Thanks, Jeroen Mastenbroek
Hello all I'm considering making the trip from Odessa down to Yalta for a look next Summer. What is the price of accomodation like in the city? Obviously there is plenty of history there with the Yalta conference and the Tsars and so on. I'm also keen to know what means of public transport are available to me from Odessa to get there? Long journey? No doubt but should i visit somewhere else along the way maybe? What is the nearest entry point into Russia from Yalta? I had hoped to go into Russia from Kerch across the water into Taman or Chushka but i am getting these names only from looking at the map. Is it actually possible to get into Russia from here? Thanks everyone DG

Hello, Myself and 2 friends are planning a trip to Crimea (Sevastopol) for a few days to a week. We are planning to leave soon and wanted to know the best options (cheapest too) for getting to Sevastopol. We are traveling from Holland / The Netherlands and currently considering a route via Bucharest. Is there a boat from Romania to Crimea (Sevastopol)? Also, any bus or train lines? Thanks for any information. R
Hello, I'm planning a trip to Crimera in August. Now I search a (nearly) lonley (sand)beach with a (really) cheap datcha. We just need a clean(without cockroaches or smth. else) room near the (clean)beach with a fridge and smth. to cook(no TV needed or smth else needed). Where are this kind of small villages where you have nearly no tourists and it is cheap. How much can I expect to pay for two persons each night? Would be really cool if someone could help me. Greetz Tim
I'm going to travel in the east Crimea - Feodosia/Sudak cities region for a 2008 summer with my mountainbike and sleepingbag to do nothing but bike riding, trekking, swimming, fishing, sleeping and so on. I`m a student, not a profesional guide or some sort. I know this region well (some lovely and beautifull wild and not so wild spots there, unique landscapes and beautiful sightseens) and i speak english a little, so maybe i'll be usefull for someone? Sorry for my english Feel free to mail gritz@ua.fm
Hi Experts in rest. I need a suggestion on best place to stay for a week in Krym. I will travel with my wife and a 3 year old kid. I am looking for a quiet resort or hotel where one should not care much about meals and noise and how-to-get-to-the-beach-under-hot-sun. It should not be too expensive as well. Thanks!
Hello all, I would like to know if someone is going this summer to Popovka for the 2007 Kazantip music "festival". In fact I would like to go but I do not speak russian and I fear to be cheated by taxis or for getting accomodation there. Would there be anyone who can help me once I am in Crimea ? I have not plan my trip yet, I am still hesitating a bit. Thank you in advance if you have any recommendation or liven help on site. Cheers. Xavier

Hi, I will be in Crimea with three friends from the 14th to the 21st of June (soon!!) We would be very gald to meet any locals for a beer or five on our trip - we will be going: Simferopol => Yalta => Gurzuf => all over the coast by car :) If anyone (local) would like to meet up for a beer (or non-alcoholic drink) along the way, please get in touch in the forum or by PM! Look forward to seeing you!
Hey, I'd like to ask your help about the following problem. I live in Budapest and I'd like to spend 10 days with my friend somewhere on the South of Crimea in the beginning of August. My problem is that we still have not any accomodation and we would like to find the cheapest solution. As we are uni students we can spend for one day only 50 hrivna together. What do you think is it possible to find some flat or I dont know what for this money? And which city or town would be the cheapest? If anyone could help us please contact me! And if anyone need help about Hungary, just write me! Thanks, Laci, Hungary

Hi everyone ! I will be in Crimea at the end of the month with a friend. after staying a few days we are planning go up to kiev. But as I can see from the map that is a long way. So it will be good to split the journey into two. Any suggestions where we can stop for a break between two locations, Harkov comes to my mind but would love to hear suggestions. And may I also learn: - If Ukraine railways have a web site. (No problem with the language I know some russian) - If we decide to make the journey non stop how long will that take. (lets say from Yalta to Kiev) Thanks in advance, Gorkem.
I shall be visiting Crimea (staying in Simeiz) in June this year, but only for a week. What is the best way to get around? Taxis? Buses (I imagine that they are slow, but are they reliable?)? Car hire (Avis, Hertz, etc. are expensive - any local (Yalta?) recommendations?)? Also, recommendations as to restaurants, bars, clubs all greatfully received! Best wishes, Richard
Privjet! I am an young expat living and working in Simferopol, Crimea. It's been only two weeks since my arrival in the Crimean capital, so I still do not know local people (or other foreigners), except my colleagues from the office. So whoever knows somebody who might be interested in meeting me for a coffee, please answer this message. Thanx!
Hi guys, Does anyone know how to get the easiest way from the Crimea to Varna, Burgas or any other Black Sea town. (Or in any other nice place in Burgaria, for that matter). I wish to go this way in June, possibly. A direct flight would be great, but what about train or ship? Any help is appreciated. thanks Derzu, Norway
