Planning on traveling to Salzburg during the week after Christmas and I have two questions: 1. Is snow in the city a sure thing at this time? Or just a possibility? 2. I know the Xmas markets will be closed, but is there any Xmas "hangover"? In other words, will there still be decorations, lights, etc.? Thanks in advance for your replies! Todd
We arrive in Salzburg on Xmas Eve and are going on to Bad Goisern. I am praying for snow!!!!

most of the decorations will remain until jan. 6th ! the chance for snow is good - a week ago we had snow all over Austria already, but of course there is no guarantee for any date. Last year it was enough snow in the city around dec. 29th.
