Hi everyone, Is there a bike trail in or near Auckland? We're looking for an easy trail that would be good for a leisurely Sunday morning bike ride.
I would cycle east of Downtown Auckland, starting along Tamaki Drive, just along the shore. There are safe bicycle lanes in very good condition. However, you will notice that most locals on racing bikes cycle on the road... I think this is even better for you, so you have the cycling lane for yourself ;-) Especially on a Sunday morning this is beautiful, very relaxed, not a lot of traffic beside you, and beautiful views.
