When is the best and worst time of year to visit stone mountain park?
I walked up to the top of Stone Mountain on a beautiful October day when the trees were starting to change. I would say you would want to avoid the hot summer months starting in mid-June to mid-September.

Rich is right about avoiding the summertime if you can and October will still have the attractions open. Depending on what you want to do there, check out the Adventure Pass as it will save money if you are doing more than a couple of things. Also, the Laser Show continues through September and October on Saturday nights.

Worst time to go is July through August. Stone Mountain is quite lovely in the Spring and Fall.
