We will be travelling to Athens next week and we have been reading about the heat wave and fires in Greece. Is it something to worry about? Is there something special we should do to prepare? Thanks!

During the last week of June there were extreme conditions in Greece. Such phenomena are extreme and not happen often. Temeratures have dropped to reasonable levels since then.

yes....take light clothes obviously and make sure your hotel has air conditioning! i just got back, it was extremely hot but worse before than now. definately take sun screen for day to day and hats otherwise you might find being out quite unpleasent.
